can we all talk about the fact that playstation refuses to release bloodborn on PC DESPITE the fact that it has been an exclusive since 2015!? lets not forget the sheer amount of praise 343 Industries recieved to the point where people have been ordering pizzas for them, when they decided to port the halo to PC. my question stands, why playstation still dint do it?

Liberty Belle - Sings the song of the unchained

in other news, Creative Assembly (who are the ones that make the total war series) released a “minor technical update” to shogun 2 (a 9 year old game) in wich they deleted public room chats and region locked players instead of, yknow, fixing bugs and issues that exist since launch
speculation is that they want to kill the game (again) because almost every other total war game is bad in comparison to shogun 2, specially in the multiplayer departement since its the only one with a proper effort put into it. and all this just after a community tournament

so chances are they want to slowly kill shogun 2 so their other titles arent compared to it and actually look like they are worth a damm

yea, most probably the same line of thought, apparently it isnt the first time they try to kill the game, but last time filing a support ticket to sega itself was enough, lets see if that happends this time as well

or not realizing that shogun 2 still has success 9 years later because the multiplayer and the game itself had actual effort put into it, and the gameplay actually requires tactical thinking and strategy

i mean total warhammer is fun and all but “bury the enemy in rats” its an actual strategy

they could capitalize so much on its success despite being an old game kind of like how microsoft did with age of empires as a whole

hell, even coh1 thats over 10 years old has the servers still up, plus a “legacy version” and “new steam version” when coh2 exists and its the main one still being updated on

even fucking natural selection 2 its still recieving updates and balance patches

Retroactive planned obsolescence. AKA “Ah shit. They’re still playing the old one. Someone break that fossil so we can shepherd them over to the new one with poorer performance on better hardware, less flexibility and all the popular factions from the old one locked behind day-one DLC.”

Which is usually followed by “oh no. Why is everyone review bombing our awesome new game? All their non-bug-related complaints are fixed with the DLC!” Or am I thinking of Paradox? Bah. Doesn’t matter. Same fucking thing at this point.

A common complaint I hear about fps games is that some mechanics that make a game unique and challenging either get watered down if not removed altogether and weapons get endlessly and constantly nerfed or have their unique mechanics ruined, all supposedly to make it easier for retards/avoid dealing with “cheating”. This results in veterans leaving. I actually did experience both situations.

I mean, that’s not unheard of in the software world. Every few years Apple puts out a new version of iOS that cripples everything but the very newest phones they’ve introduced, to force people to “upgrade.” The performance penalties on last year’s phone are merely accidental and not the least bit intentional, they assure us, and will be fixed in the next version. HINT: it’s never fixed in the next version.

Works with pretty much all games. The result of “trying to appeal to a wider audience” and “expand into a prospective new field”. a.k.a. basic-ass greed resulting in making games for money, instead of making games for games with money-making only being there so you can continue making games.

Yes, but “apple zombies” moniker hasn’t been created out of nowhere. Reasonable people have been avoiding Apple for a decade now, due to what you’ve described, being extremely overpriced, and alternatives to its stuff being made. Even for designers, last good Apple thing was macbook pro (and they can stick macos on a regular PC, hur hur).

I keep side-glancing at my PS Vita, thinking to do the same. I love my modded PSPs to death. But with the Vita still store-active, I’d rather not risk my account until I have a chance to back up all of my purchases, and I really don’t have the storage space to cover that.
