Well, looks like the Endless Universe is expanding again. Kinda. Maybe? “New” game is Endless Dungeon, a spiritual successor/reboot/re-envisionment of Dungeon of the Endless.
 
I’m torn. On the one hand: Yay, more Endless Universe! On the other hand: Couldn’t someone have come up with a better name than Endless Dungeon? That’s almost as bad as when “Sword of the Stars: The Pit” rebooted to “The Pit: Infinity”. Regardless, I’m hoping FlyByNo is still doing the soundtrack, and I really hope we get the TF2 heroes back, fully voiced.

That’s a new game? Really shitty name they gave it. I’m pretty sure I saw it earlier and wrote it off as an update to Dungeon of the Endless. Just use a fucking 2, guys. Why has the industry become so averse to just fucking numbering entries in their series like functional human beings? I shouldn’t have to know the year a game released when searching for it to filter out the other 8 entries in the series with the same damn name.

From the comments floating around, they avoided DotE2 because it’s not a sequel as much as a “replacement” in terms of lore. And, the name fits their standard naming convention. But I agree that it’s bad in context. As to “seeing it earlier”, I’m pretty sure it was just announced today but they did kinda tease it over a week ago with that “unknown message” news post to every Endless game’s hub. Or I missed something, which is entirely possible.

Can’t say I’ve cared about the Game Awards for the past few years. Only reason I paid attention last year was for a live Warframe announcement. Surprised Nintendo let emo kid stab Mario, but that’s probably the most iconic way to introduce him. Hope his moveset is better than it was in Dissidia.

Ya, game award shows aren’t really worth it anymore. It’s like the emmys. It’s all plagued by progressive/political bs that forces judges to choose more gays and non-white winners out of fear that the cancel culture brigade on twitter will come down on them and get everyone fired. Should’ve turned off the stream the moment I saw the BLM shirt. I don’t know why I torture myself like this.

I do wonder why Fortnite manages to secure all these skins, back bling, weapon skins, and glider models based directly on characters from not only copyrighted TV shows and movies, but also comic books and other video games, yet PUBG, COD Mobile and Garena Free Fire don’t even have half as many as the former does.

Because the aging execs have actually heard of Fortnite. What I wonder about is what happens when these deals are up. So many games are stuck eternally barred from rerelease because the game’s core content included IP from another company who refuses to allow a second run, or demands ridiculous cuts of the profits that make it economically unfeasible for the developers/publishers.

Speaking about Sephiroth in Smash, who would you guys like to see in the game? Me personally, I think Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear would be pretty cool. He has been on Nintendo consoles before, too!
