Some people already mentioned it, there should be badges. Reason: That would be cool.

Well green text is not Exactly something that writers are interested in use  
And although I’m sure that yes fimfiction is the usual place to publish those things another platform interested on fully support any kind of content would be an excellent option for many artists or autors
 
I mean no one knows about the future derphy its the greatest example of how a trend can change an entire community

Something that bugs me on these upload dumps people is making is that comic pages are being uploaded randomly, and when you try to browse them with their tag the pages are all desorganized.
 
A pool feature would really help a lot so in case someone wants to browse to a comic on the proper order can do it.

The thing whit fanfiction is that there are a good amount of people and authors that left that place already  
Some because they just got in the wrong side of a few admins, Others have found a great block in the publishing queue because their fics were not ”good enough”  
And a few more permanently banned because, they wanted to write lolicon or were too ”toxic” for the community

There’s fimfiction which would be hard to match in features and reading comfort, but greentext is an untapped niche that currently has no central place to post.

There is a way to offer or add some support for writing documents?  
like some kind of pdf reader or display
 
it would help to expand the content Pool on ponybooru and it could be a great difference between this and any other boooru

Edit: Sorry. i just got off of Furbooru, where some of the old RPers from that forum are and making the same request, and they, of course, made lots of drama about it. Roping me in it for stupid reasons. And this left a bad taste in my mouth regarding this. But, now that I have had a moment to think, I realize that those people aren’t here, and that this will probably be more beneficial than not. So, I take back what I said.

Daily database dumps. Helps archivers save the site on a daily basis. Simply (though it’s never so simple) run a cron job every day to dump certain tables and columns into a file and serve it!

Add the milestones/badges, when everything has been fixed and running

Could you imagine, as an artist, how overwhelmingly complicated a watchlist like that would get? It would literally come down to AND’ing and OR’ing individual pics for certain things. And what if, say, there’s an oc in the foreground of a pic, some random pony in the background of a pic, and somebody thinks that random pony is X oc? Then you can’t even filter on “no oc’s” or something blanket thing like that.
 
At least with this feature, it’d make life a ton easier.

It actually does, when someone adds “female” to your femboy pic, it will immediately pop up in a RSS feed.

That’s a valid point, I suppose for now you can use different accounts for that. Multiple watchlists would be a cool feature.

That doesn’t let you see old images with new tags being added/removed. Unless you just don’t use your watchlist for anything else, which kinda defeats the purpose. Regardless, I doubt this thread is meant for discussion of features, just suggestions.

That’s easily solved with a complex watchlist. Like “(oc:femboy1, female) OR (oc:femboy2, female)”. I myself use complex watchlist to know when people are incorrectly tagging “computer mouse” as “mouse”.

I think this is more for people who possibly incorrectly tag a character they think is in the pic, or decide to change the gender of a pony so it fits what they want to see in an image rather than what it really is (say two ponies kissing, no genitals in the pic, but the snoots are kind of ambiguously-drawn, and one person changes tags from “straight” to “gay” based on what they want to see in the image or something like that).

Guarddogs that revert any changes are known problem in Wikipedia. I don’t think that a feature that encourages it is a good idea. There’s a reason why derpibooru didn’t let artists mess with a tagging system.

If it’s NSFW Apple Bloom image with filly head proportions and three eye shines, it’s still foalcon, no matter how much artist try to say “but she’s 1000-year-old vampire!”. Usually users fix incorrect tags themselves, and artists do not hold any tag-moderating special privileges. If you want influence, just make clarifying description on source, then users will fix it themselves.
