The sad thing is that you’re not even wrong. I forgot about Shaun in, like, 20 minutes. Mind you that I’ve been spoiled on that plot element but still. It’s a matter of the game, itself, almost immediately forgetting about him and consequently letting you do so, too.

Also what the hell happened to what’s-his-face the kidnapper that he ended up leaving a trail of bloody bandages all over the countryside and why isn’t that addressed?

Yeah, both of those games (I’m not going to recognize Third Birthday and I doubt anyone would blame me) are actually popular enough to warrant a re-release, imo. They’ve got quite a nice cult following.

i dont remember much about the quest but i believe its different combats across large spans of time? i mean there isnt really any public cleaning services anymore (except the player picking up every single piece of trash it comes across) so a bloody bandage can stay in the same spot for ages, plus, wasteland n all, even mr. cereal name can get wounded by any random raider, creature or super mutant, i mean, we do, all the time!

Third Birthday certainly was a travesty. One of those games that just doesn’t exist. As to re-releases, I’d do unspeakable things to get an upscale release of both titles, but sadly SE lost most of the rights to the franchise after disagreements between the author of the original book (who holds significant IP control), his publisher, and SE; about the only thing they’re allowed to do is release the existing games ad nauseam on PSN.

EDIT: That said, emulator upscaling makes both games look absolutely gorgeous.

Just had the revelation that concrete makes for better perimeter walls than anything because it’s the only material that can actually clip through the bushes in Sanctuary.

I’ve never considered walling it off before. Would have assumed it was too large. I just put lots of turrets on the rooftops. Haven’t had a single attack upon the place to date. Was kind of wondering if the place can be attacked; everywhere else has.

I heard that if a settlement has a high defence value, there are never attacks. But I was attacked by robots. Maybe that only applies to raiders, or maybe my defence value doesn’t count as high enough, or maybe I just misunderstood, or maybe whoever said that was just wrong.

Also, Nick stole my power armour. I can take the parts, but is there way to get him out of the frame?

I don’t think attacks are ever permanently stopped, just less frequent. And the higher the defence rating, the less frequent it is.

I also know that having even one robot in a settlement will cause Rust Devil attacks no matter the rating

Pickpocket the power cell. He should get out of the armor. Whenever you “store” a frame, make sure to take the cell with you otherwise any NPC in the area can “jack your ride”, so to speak.
