Video game thread

For me it’s:  
Terraria – 1,094 hours  
Staround – 909 hours (almost all early access; barely played it since)  
Civilization 5 – 815 hours  
Fallout: New Vegas – 454 hours  
Dragon’s Dogma – 352 hours
 
Though I should probably add another 200 hours to Dragon’s Dogma and 100 to Terraria for the years that I had them on consoles.

Why are we all simultaneously getting back into Fallout 4? I just started playing it again two days ago, myself.

Mine was just counting last five years. I have a lot of time in Skyrim and Crusader Kings II before that. Skyrim would easily cross 1000 hours if I included time before that.

3k Warframe, 2k TF2, 1k Terraria, 700h Wurm Unlimited, 500h Factorio (plus ~1000 played on standalone executables), 500h Skyrim, 300h Dark Souls 2, 240h Fallout New Vegas.
 
 
Which modern shooters are there? I’m suffering withdrawal since warframe got chinkucked (sold out to Tencent). Battlefield (unless BC2 is still online) and CoD aren’t unacceptable because also cucked by libtards.

Yup, has not been good since 2016’s Battlefield 1, which is about WW1.

Understandable, seeing as they for a long time have been too keen on releasing a title in that franchise every single year. Last good one was either Black ops 2 or Modern Warfare 2. ||Though the 2019 reboot of Modern Warfare is great from what I’ve seen and heard. ||

No idea. I don’t really play a lot of modern shooters (especially of the CoD/Battlefield variety). I’ve been enjoying Hedon and Ion Fury, if those count. Project Warlock was pretty good, too.

I forgot how much of a pain it is to make anything more complex than a box with a door.

Warframe - 2,151 hours (and about to rise with the next major update coming tomorrow and another in a couple weeks)  
Trove - 839 hours (not exactly proud of that one)  
Fallout 4 - 755 hours (modding is a helluva drug)  
Starbound - 580 hours (I can stop whenever I want)  
Monster Hunter World - 557 hours (need to get back to this one)  
Path of Exile - 544 hours
 
Special Mentions:  
Dragon’s Dogma - would exceed 500h if PC and PS3 values combined  
Guild Wars - would exceed 1kh if launcher hours were factored in  
Borderlands 2 - PS3 hours alone exceed 2kh

Thus far, Tencent appears to have left DE alone in the acquisition, aside from a rather disgusting “new years” promotion. They seem more interested in Chinaframe.

Long story that more or less simplifies into ‘for aesthetics’. It wasn’t even all that much, I just wanted to add a half-size section behind an existing half-size section to make it an L-shaped building.

Building on top. That’s a good idea. I just built a three floor cement tower near where you’re standing in the first pic. I like your idea better.
 
Wish the build limits were higher; building one decent structure with a few turrets takes damn near all of it. Well, all of it that can be freed up. Half the bar goes to permanent features.

At the moment I’m just running the opaque power armor HUD and loading screen accelerator mods. I’ll go crazy once I’ve actually finished the game once.

Fallout 4 base game could have been more engaging indeed. In fact theres A LOT of cut content in the form of unused enemies, quests, and weapons.

One of the weirdest bits of cut content that I genuinely don’t understand is Vault 111 security armor variant. Why? They’re in the game, for Christ’s sake. Hell, the armor is in the game files!

Always hated the float point on the rooftop. And at least my installation never appreciated sinking panels into the roof with the console. Just that roof, too. Everywhere else it worked fine.

I have my own story going on in my head when I play these games. It’s how I’ve always played. I’ll be fine.

I agree. Finding bobbleheads and duct tape is more interesting and important than a son or whatever.

Unironically yes. The rigidity of the character creation and story killed the game for me.
