Vent Thread

Earlier this year my good mouse, that I had for about 10 years, died. I had a spare “gaming” mouse that had flashing lights and 15 extra buttons that did weird things like close programs without asking if I wanted to save. That lasted about 2 months. Now right clicking tabs in waterfox automatically closes them, right clicking links automatically opens them, and right clicking windows programs automatically duplicates them. I had to get my spare spare, which is an extremely stiff, loud POS. It works but you have to put all your weight into pushing the button. Now right click does what I want it to but I still have to buy a new mouse because this one is shite too.
 
I have a backup for my backup’s backup. It works for now and it’s not shaped like a brick or tries to deafen me.

Hell no, I don’t want to buy a fucking used mouse! Are you nuts? Mice have a finite number of lifetime clicks, who knows how many times someone clicked this thing. I’m not buying a used mouse that someone jerked off and then touched.

Something’s not right with this job. It’s listed as “12 hour shifts, Monday to Friday, night shift, weekends”. That’s 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. That’s 84 hours a week. When are you not working?

Sleep time doesn’t count. Factoring in an hour to prepare and get to work and an hour to get home is all of 2 hours a day not working. The job expects you to live just 14 hours a week.

Looking around for a short time, it seems that there’s no limit to how many hours an employer and require. The law only stipulates that they’re required to pay your overtime for more than 40.
