A truly useless fact for most, but one that intrigues me personally. Did they run out space or something and had too do it that way or was it just a odd choice they did as a easter egg or something?

The bonus features are roughly the same length. Extended scenes and the trailer on side B (wide screen) and a music video interview parody on side A (Full screen)
It’s also strange side A isn’t the wide screen side.
Both sides share the same opening trailers.
Additional fact about the movie itself, one of Fat Albert’s gang, Bill, was played by Keith Robinson, the Green Lightspeed Rescue Power Ranger.

That, honestly sounds like they split it for length. Though I would think the widescreen version would take up more space, right? IDK, don’t know enough about the formatting of video.

What if they are one and the same? That is for bad fanfiction crossovers to sort out.

Joel Rawlings, the green Lightspeed Ranger, was a professional stunt pilot nicknamed “Sky Cowboy”.
Bill was a buddy of Fat Albert’s, often a voice of reason among his more outlandish group of friends. Also the gang emerges from a tv and are vaguely aware that they’re cartoon characters.

When no one everyone was looking, thieves in India stole an entire 60-foot long 500 tonne bridge in broad daylight. The men, clad in filthy rags, claimed to be government officials so no one stopped them when they chopped the bridge up and carted it away piece by piece. Local officials apparently believed them and helped the thieves dismantle the bridge and load it up into trucks.

The theft took three whole days and in that time no one filed a report with any higher officials to see if the story was accurate, they just let the thieves steal an entire bridge.

Today marks the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, and the deaths of 1,500 people who could have been saved if Cyril Evans had stayed awake another hour and a half, or if Jack Phillips had actually passed Evans’s ice warning on to the bridge, or if the watch officers of the ship ten miles away had realized the Titanic‘s rockets were a distress signal.

James Cameron’s 1997 film Titanic was the first movie to make $1 billion at the box office. It also shares its name with a 1943 anticapitalist propaganda film made by the Nazis. During production, the director was Epstein’d and the film was ultimately banned in Germany by the same man who originally commissioned it.

Brothers sisters and wives. Little children lost their lives! When the great ship went down to the bottom of the sea!

Or so the song that I used to hear my family mention and partly sing to me. A children’s song that, at least how they had heard it rendered, found rather overly cheerful in tone. I know it’s far away and the Titanic certainly falls under the tragedy plus time clause of joking/meming and whatever, but I will leave a unironic:

“Big beer” is beer with higher alcohol content. For millennia people have been drinking low alcohol beer (usually less than 1% ABV), basically porridge mixed with boiled water that had natural yeast in it making it mildly alcoholic overnight. The Egyptians called it “liquid bread” if I’m not mistaken. It was high in calories and made up a large part of people’s diets. People in England would drink an entire gallon of this low alcohol “small beer” every day and like Budweiser today it didn’t get you drunk (maybe it’s just me).

In the 15th century or so some monks discovered ways of preserving beer, including adding hops, allowing it to ferment longer and increasing the alcohol content. They called this new high alcohol beer “big beer”. Big beer got you drunk and was taxed differently than small beer.

There’s actually going to be a chapter in the religion book called “How Beer Invented Civilization”.

Errol Flynn played Robin Hood in the great classic “The Adventures of Robin Hood” in 1938. Howard Hill performed all the trick shots for that movie off screen. That scene where the one arrow splits the other was done for real by Hill several times but the director didn’t like any of the takes so a special hollow arrow was produced and another arrow was pulled through the hollow arrow with a piece of fishing line to get it to split exactly.

Howard Hill was one of the greatest archers to ever live. He routinely performed stunts like shooting a grape off of someone’s head and tossing a wedding ring into the air and shooting an arrow through it before it hit the ground. He also killed an elephant with an arrow.

Today was the deadline for Americans to file taxes.
Normally knowing the deadline for tax day is important, but now that it’s after business hours on the final day, it’s become a moot point.
If you haven’t paid yet, prepare to be schlonged by the IRS.
