I don’t know what the fuck “toxic positivity” is. It’s a term I’ve only seen used by assholes who like to go out of their way to be cruel to others and use the excuse “I’m just being honest”. They’re also people who say “I’m sorry you feel that way,” which is the snarky asshole way of saying “fuck you.”

In all my life I’ve only ever come across toxic negativity. Everyone is as negative as possible and claims that being a cynical asshole is being truthful or honest or something.

Everywhere I go I can’t find positivity. Everyone is negative, all the time. “Toxic positivity” seems like a made up problem invented by cynical assholes to prove how superior they are over everyone else.

Toxic positivity is the kind of adversarial enabling that’s typical of the fat rights movement, and others like it. When someone has had their third heart attack, or lost a foot from diabetes, it’s past time to stop telling them that the doctor is wrong, and they’re perfect just the way they are.

The absolute truth of the universe. If both people are consenting adults it doesn’t matter if one is 20 and the other is 90, fuck your busybodying.

This term grows popularity and invented… not by asshole like you thoughts, but by experts who experienced how optimism can cause harm maybe even more then pessimism itself, especially after the pandemic.
Never heard of Titan Submersible incident? That is one example of how Toxic Positivity is real and can kill.

Every thing needed balance, too optimistic makes you an insolent reckless fool, too negative makes you too cynical and too stressful.
