The lawsuit over Chris’ debts appears to be moving forward. The collectors appear to be aiming at wage garnishment. That wouldn’t touch the tugboat payment directly, but it would cut into anything Chris gets from e-begging. It also would allow them to target the tugboat indirectly, since it’s unlikely that he has a separate account for it.

According to Kiwifarms, Chris’s house has been emptied out, as Barbara Chandler is not coming back (she’s currently living with some relatives) and Chris is never allowed to return there, so the house is (probably) for sale to cover for Barbara’s debts and caring costs.

Obviously, someone from out of town looking for a cheap house in the Charlottesville area. A $20-30k investment in cleaning it up and making it presentable could probably tempt a buyer.
 
Even if weens or Christorians could scrape together enough money to buy it, I doubt that whichever relative is in charge of liquidating the house would be willing to sell it to them unless they went out of their way to hide their intentions.
