According to Kiwifarms, the reason why Chris' case has been taking so long is precisely because both the law and Chris's lawyer are trying to figure out wtf can be done with him to get sure it sticks, and so they wouldn't have to deal with Chris's autism as soon he's back on the streets. He can't be trusted to not cause more problems if he's released on bail, he can't sent to a normal prison because he wouldn't survive a day there, and neither can be sent to live in a mental institution or grupal home because it's costly and he's not retarded enough to justify that, so basically he's a big and costly nuisance for every party involved on his case but until a fair and humane solution is found, they are stuck with him.
It doesn't help that Chris himself has been extremely uncooperative through this whole ordeal.

I think it's indicative of how badly our society is fraying apart, everyone's so focused on the big things like "They're shoving trannies into all our shows!" and "the price of food is skyrocketing!" the most obviously noticeable stuff, that the slower, creeping problems get overlooked.
Back in the day, most people never travelled more then a few days from the town they where born in, leaving to go to the big city or to travel the world was a rare occurrence. Thus, the only thing that mattered to people throughout most of history was their reputation with their own community (not the bastardised term we're familiar with where any group of assholes with a shared point of view and an internet connection or even just a preference on who to fuck is considered a "community", I mean the actual people who live around you in the real world) with people who knew them on a personal level and that they would meet and speak to everyday.
As actual communities have been atomized to make way for the "communities" of the always-online globalist cultural paradigm, now likes on Twatter or upvotes on YouTube have highjacked that desire to be well loved and respected by your own neighbors in favour of a "larger" audience. One that interacts with you entirely through text posts, that you know nothing about and may actually just be bots. To the internet, you're just a profile pic and a source of momentary distraction, not an actual person.

A typical jury is likely to have a lot of retirees on it anyway just because they have nothing better to do with their time. And even if they do have a hard time finding an unbiased jury, they could always opt for a bench trial instead.

Well, looks like we will not hear about Chris for a long time, since his case was pushed for next year (for a review) and a relocation order was requested for him. According to Kiwifarms, this is most likely a request to put him on a mental institution for a year to confirm if he's lucid enough to face a jury or not, and to confirm if he can be put on a group home with other tards or if he can be trusted to live on his own.

Ruckersville looks like a quaint, peaceful little town full of green and open spaces, ideal for retired people or just for people who wants to live away from the noise and stress of a big city. It doesn't looks like a bad place to live as long you could avoid tards like Chris and such.
