I can’t blame your skepticism. Really I can’t. I mean with what happened in Germany alone. Any possible mass refugee influx we cannot accept if they attempt to pull that off here, though I honestly think, considering distance, imminent countries and secondary europe are more at risk . Honestly though, I’ve always considered the number of refugees the US admitted to be mostly a smoke and mirrors game. Even the highest pledges from Democratic presidents pale in comparison to illegal immigrants migration With, outside of terriorist concerns, the right raising a ruckus over relatively* low numbers and the liberals pretending that it was a huge effort to make themselves feel/look good. For me, the main sticking point is the attempt to use the refugees/migration/asylum laws to accept hundreds of thousands from Mexico/Central and South America.

I don’t think we should accept all from Afghanistan, but those who worked with us and actually put their butts on the line to try to set up and believed in American’s stupid pet project, our country I think genuinely owes a debt too. That’s what I me when we own it to them.
