Star Wars merchandise isn’t selling anymore. Even Baby Yoda, literally the only mover of the entire Disney era, has lost his luster.
 
Shortly after Disney bought LucasFilm, but before anything had come out, I remember reading that even during the slowest years Star Wars never moved less than $4 billion in merchandise. And those were the years after the prequel trilogy, when it seemed that Star Wars was just over.

Today is the 5th anniversary of Last Jedi.  
So Twitter is full of weirdos insisting it was the best thing ever. Oh wait, they do that every day.

I didn’t hate TLJ, but the constant shoving in my face that it’s the greatest thing ever is like in school I was indifferent to sports, but it was so overly pushed into every aspect, that indifference turned into outright dislike.  
On the lighter side, I get to remember all the silly things in TLJ.

Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron movie is dead. Between this and WW3 and her Cleopatra movie going belly up, Patty Jenkins seems to be her way out of Hollywood.

Make Jar Jar a badass bounty hunter.

Only if they also decanonize his end. A trilogy of him being a lonely, homeless busker probably wouldn’t be that fun.

If Disney decanonized 7-9 and replaced them with a trilogy following Jar Jar, I think it would be an improvement.  

It’s been less than a year, and the Galactic Starcruiser hotel has already burnt through its customer pool. They should have known that a one-and-done Instagram selfie opportunity that costs $6000 per night wasn’t sustainable.

Maul’s name never made sense to me. Dooku became Darth Tyranus, but Maul became Darth Maul. It isn’t even like Maul was an edgy nickname he already had, that’s just how given names apparently work in his species. His brother’s name is Savage Opress. It’s not any different from Palpatine finding a guy named Chet and naming him Darth Chet.

I could totally believe that. Recession and war, regardless of more shabby performances of later films would push them to take a step back naturally.

There are rumors going around that Star Wars is restricted to tv shows for the time being. If this is accurate, no new movies will be greenlit until at least 2024.

I am reading that they haven’t even started produce but rumored to soon. I think it might be Disney’s hype machine just throwing out what little it’s got. Considering how sometimes they have announced stuff when it is just in the concept phase before with nothing to go on.

What I’m getting out of that is, it’s going to be so bad there’s literally nothing positive anyone can say about it.
