Someone please explain this one,on Derpibooru,the downvotes aren’t enormous,but it’s more than I’d expect for such an innocuos pic.  
The weird thing is that one of the tags is “Downvote bait”. What is bait about this?

It might have to do with the artist. It looks like their caricature work is getting better, but it was pretty butt ugly for a long time, and even now it’s still a style that’s hit or miss with people’s tastes.

Am I wrong when I say those don’t look anything like each other? I’ll admit I’ve never seen jojo before buuuuuuut…

I considered making an alternative “What’s with the all the upvotes” thread,but figured the reason for upvotes is either ironic upvotes it there’s just something I’m missing.  
 
Here’s the image that inspired this post,no disrespect to the artist,but I don’t think this deserves 344+ favorites and 500+likes.(downvotes are a mere 25).

The artist actually has a very nice gallery,and it’s a bit strange now to go through the past pics,seeing around 50 faves,and then this one with 300.

Honestly, if he wants to pay someone to draw his oc, I’m fine with that. It’s his money and I’m not going to stop him from spending it. If anything I’ll just filter his oc out and be done with it. I’d rather him support artists than stop commissioning altogether.

I don’t hate the guy and even I like some pics only because the artists’ style, but at this point it became very tiring to see the same ocxcanon ship everyday.

I usually wonder how much time and money has that people to comission everyday different artists the same shipping with their ocs.

I guess, it’s just that those same commissioners get some criticism of ppl who are tired to see a lot of their shippings get tons of images in DB (I wonder how rich are they ‘cause of the several commissions they do)

I noticed that too. Don’t know why the activity of Twibooru is very limited of not posting in forums and only upvote/downvote images.

I’ve been going around Twibooru. Cool gallery,but otherwise dull as mud. You can’t do anything. Oh,wait,you can upvote/downvote.  
Why? What does it do? Upvoting I get,so you can have a gallery,but what does downvotes do? If it’s to send a message to the artist,it probably won’t work,since most of the artwork there is being uploaded by other people.  
I know the real reason it’s there,DB had it,and they’re just a locked down version of DB.  
Just weird.
