Oh, since it’s the first thing that popped up in the search, I assumed it was more common. I’ll set up my bot to scrape the image page, then

I think you might be looking at the wrong tag, the .svg available tag includes png’s with a link to download the svg, use the svg tag instead to see only .svg’s, the tags actually seem to be applied very accurately, the first example you posted looks like a rare exception but it was uploaded a couple of hours ago so I guess it’s just that no one else has noticed yet
I hope you can find a solution since that would mean one less reason to visit DB, but either way thank you for trying
"A R C H I V E S I T E"
Edit: I might as well provide examples. This one has the__**.svg available**__
tag, but I cannot find any link that actually leads to an SVG. Meanwhile, this one has it under the DS button.
I could modify my bot to attempt to scrape the website instead of using the API, but it seems like it wouldn’t actually bring that much, given that a good chunk of the things under that tag seem to actually be pngs.

I might actually try and figure it out, but no guarantees.

Okay, I finally got a proper look at this, and unfortunately it seems like the philomena API doesn’t provide .svg downloads. For some reason, it’s only available through the main page, and even then, not every picture has it. The tag is a mess on derpi, so I dunno if I should just set my importer to remove the tag when importing stuff. Imma ask the rest of staff.

Just fixed it. Words cannot describe how much I hate python. But it’s also damn useful
Also, maybe I should start a thread for the importer. I’ll edit this comment when it’s made.

Another crash, I’m afraid.
Since I haven’t said it yet, thanks for keeping the importer going. It’s a valuable service you’re providing for the site.

You’re right! I wouldn’t even have noticed, since it uploaded the expected amount of images.
(I wasn’t handling networking errors, so that’s what caused the crash. Silly me)

I think the importer may have crashed again.

Oh you’re right. It’s apparently been crashing on certain images. Yeah I’m gonna fix that ASAP

A little off topic, but is everything okay with the importer? It looks like it stopped uploading really early today, and I think it did the same a few days ago.

It might be better to just delete most of those images entirely since importing the actual svgs should create new previews making the old images redundant
"A R C H I V E S I T E"
I’ll probably have to remove the svg tag on those pics, since it’s innacurate. Not looking forward to that.

Oh, that’s a feature I entirely forgot about. I’ll fix the bot… soon.

So I noticed .svg files are not being imported properly, it looks like the importers are just grabbing the .png previews and not the actual .svg files.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization
, wings
, and spread wings
would all be found by a search for wing
, but sewing
would not be.
