I can’t wait to see how they fuck them up. Niggerize half the cast and NPCs of all the games and change the story of AC1 so Altair kills Robert instead of convincing him not to fight because muh crusaders ebil? Turn Ezio gay and give him a safe flaw instead of being a lecher? Side mission somehow based around trannies? Claudia is immediately a strong and powerful woman instead of a naive girl who doesn’t want to work, who grows into a capable ally?

Aniplex (Sony) and Pocketpair have partnered up to make a Palworld Entertainment Co. The announcement of a Playstation release for Palworld is likely not far off, but making a counterpart to Nintendo’s Pokémon Co. is a much bigger move than just that. I expect the manga, toys, and anime are coming. There’s no word on whether the Sony partnership means console exclusivity going forward.

IGN’s 10-minute gameplay preview of Star Wars Outlaws has spent the last several days getting roasted and ratioed on all platforms. Ignoring the graphical fidelity, it looks like a game from the late PS2/early PS3 transitional era. The water effects and particle effects look out of place, the cutscene animations are weirdly janky, and the stealth system is primitive.

A Bethesda game?

Black Myth: Wukong is still being targeted by game journos. This Gamespot piece included a section on the allegations that are by now widely known to be invented via malicious mistranslation. The video has a 7.5/1 dislike to like ratio.

Black Myth: Wukong is out, and it’s already a major success. On day one, it broke Cyberpunk: 2077’s Steam record for most consecutive players in a single-player game and surpassed Palworld to become the second most-played game on Steam, behind only PUBG.
I’m liking it a lot. It feels good to play, and the story has me invested.

Now we wait for the journos to backtrack and try to claim they never attacked the game or its developers, just like with Bayonetta and Nier.

Concord launched after eight years of development to a day one peak of under 700 players. Probably going to end up losing Sony more money than Suicide Squad lost Warner Bros. at this rate.
Dustborn launched to under 90 players, and hasn’t even come close to approaching that since. I won’t be surprised if I hear that Red Thread Games gets shut down in a few months.
The paywalled 3-day early access release for Star Wars: Outlaws starts in four days, on the 27th. It’s too bad Ubisoft hides its numbers behind their own launcher. We’ll only be able to infer how it goes from the statements they make.
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is a dead IP. It’s just over a month old, and it doesn’t seem like anyone even remembers it.

I don’t think they’re bothering, they’re going for “Everyone but me is -ist”. Why engage with any criticism when you can just discard it out of hand.
It’s fine, these companies don’t last long because their writing for an audience that doesn’t exist, gamers just need to stop talking about and getting riled up over their nonsense to make them disappear faster.

Generally yes, but if i really like a franchise and want to see more of it, i usually pay full price.
Visions of Mana is one such game, i really look forward to it and i put down 80 on it. I would have bought physical collector’s edition, but Square in recent years is completely insane in how much they want for those.
