Speaking of hacking games, has anyone here played Hacknet?
 
It can get more intense than one would expect from a game where you just type commands.

Okay, a conversation minigame can be fun. I remember that the “conversation boss fights” of Human Revolution (which I will begrudgingly state has the Deus Ex brand on it), while using a system that was undercooked and too easy to solve with a single augment, was actually a genuinely promising concept.
 
I also liked how sometimes, using the augment to cheat your way through didn’t always lead to the best result. Early in the game for instance, there’s an encounter where you need to get into a police station, but the receptionist is someone with traumatic event in his history caused by your character. You can use the augment to infer that he’s using drugs on the job to cope and get in that way, but if you do he’ll blame you when he gets fired and tries to kill you later. However, if you don’t use the cheat solution and instead talk you way through properly, that later encounter can be resolved peacefully by offering him a better-paying job in Sarif Industries instead.
 
Again, it was underdeveloped…but it had potential.

There is a big difference between a (conversation minigame) and a (conversation minigame).

I have. I liked that the game made you figure things out yourself. I didn’t realize there was an alternate path after you get hacked until the third or fourth run through.
 
Unencrypting and reading the stolen file you’re asked to delete produces an amusing message too.

Well, I won’t argue that Oblivion’s was horrendous tedium. I agree with that wholeheartedly.

My favourite parts were: the guy deleting your x-server (that made me smile in real life, which does not happen often); and the intense final mission where I finished with like 2 seconds left.
 
Did you the DLC? If so, how was it? (I didn’t have it.)

Never played Hacknet, though I do own it. Last hacking game I played was Uplink, and I always see relatively heated arguments over which is better.

So Monster Sanctuary is fucking addicting. I bought it yesterday, tried it out for a bit and then it was 13 hours later.

I am perfectly fine with “what’s your level? 50? Sorry, it’s a level 51 check”. If it means I don’t have to play a fucking minigame that I don’t enjoy every 47 seconds then so be it. Morrowind has its issues but at least lockpicking is quicker. Pull out pick, hold down button until unlocked. Low skill, it might take 6 to 8 seconds. High skill, it’s instant.

I received my Starmancer key a little bit ago. Apparently they’re going into early access on the 5th. I didn’t think my tier gave beta access.

Been waiting for StarMancer for a while. Being published by Chucklefish is still a point of worry, but at least it’s not developed by them.

The devs seem to actually give a damn, so here’s hoping it doesn’t disappoint. It’s been in closed alpha for at least a year now, which is already a few steps of ahead of certain other games.

EDIT: Ah. This appears to be a somewhat nicer-looking version of that other starship construction game that’s in beta.

I can’t say I expected Starmancer to have a story. A backstory, sure, but not a story. Although it could just be the tutorial. I don’t know yet.

I truly miss the old Activision from 1979-2012. They started out as a bunch of disgruntled Atari Employees who made games for the 2600, 5200, Intellivision, Colecovision, 7800, and later on the NES and several types of home computers.

i have been thinking, should i play weebframe again? i resumed and stopped playing it like a month before infested open world update dropped
 
but i really hate RNG-based grind, like i need a fucking mirage prime part for the last rank with suda and i spent an entire week trying to get it, and then an entire month trying to get loki prime (stop giving me parts for the fat fucking floating vacuum cleaner), i got so fed up with it that i resorted to load into low-level defence missions with excalibur umbra and literally put it on auto pilot for hours while i read some novel about slaying goblins or something or watched a series about 2 kids and a furry going to the abyss or something  
i also wanted to put umbra forma on inaros because who needs shields and abilities when i can just run in the face of a nulifier and shove its ugly helmet down a toilet. i tried getting one when the first.. nightwave? synthwave? dreamwave? rolled around and i got half way through it then said “fuck this”. can you even get those anymore or do i have to wait for another event?  
only thing look foward to is replacing inaros 3 with something actually fucking usefull with the whatwasitcalled system, also the mechs look fun but i really hope it doesnt require me to be in a fucking clan like with a shit ton of weapons, railjack, and fast open world transportation

My only goal in warframe was to get Volt Prime and color it like a taser, and after that I haven’t been able to pick the gane up for longer than a few days at a time. I just find it boring at best, annoying at worst. Last time I reinstalled it was to try and build a railjack before getting bored of grinding for credits.

I’ve been grinding the shit out of Warframe the past few weeks. Not too much has changed (though it’s AtlasP Chassis for Suda now that MirageP is vaulted), the grind is just as soul-crushing. But the current nightwave round helps that a little bit since there’s 3x3 pre-built forma in the reward list, in addition to an umbra forma (rank 29, as always), plus you might have a stipend of free stuff waiting in your mailbox due to a few recent reworks/updates. As to where you can get umbra forma outside of nightwave, there’s one every two months on Teshin’s offerings for Steel Path, and when you hit MR30 you get (among other things) 3 umbra forma. They used to drop from Veil Proxima, but that was exploited to hell to the point that they were removed from the drop table.
 
Sad point, you literally just missed DE giving away LokiP for free during TennoCon. Silver lining, his parts are (marginally) cheaper on Warframe.market in response, and if I have any of his relics (doubtful, but still EDIT: I don’t, figures) I’d be happy to run them for you. Even so, there’s always farming other parts and selling them for the plat to buy your remaining parts off of players.
 
The Helminth system has changed the landscape a lot. There are a ton of great abilities you can toss into Inaros. I think I’m running Warcry (from Valkyr) for even more meme-armor, though that’s when I run anything aside from Hildryn or whatever frame I need to grind a Sister ephemera from. There’s also the new weekly Invigoration system that allows you to buff three randomly selected Warframes each week with two week-long stat improvements, gaining “card punches” to select a specific Warframe once every ~month.
 
All in all, can’t hurt to take a look. It is free to reinstall, after all.

It always surprises me when someone mentions credits being a grind. Ten minutes of Index = 1mil credits. Probably the easiest grind in the game, all things considered.

darn, i only have loki because i got it way back when it was a starter frame, back when sentinels were just introduced, so it holds a special place in me heart, even if i cant make a proper build for it
 
i mean i only play inaros because i like sustain and not dying (also pocket sand and spending 10 straight minutes consooming a single enemy because what is scaling damage?), i tried farming for nidus but fuck that after an entire month of that shit
 
i was planning on getting that one black hole thing weapon from suda just to sell it but i didnt get the last rank because fuck rng and i heard the thing got nerfed to the ground so i guess its not that sought after anymore, guess ill sell kavat gene imprints or something, i just want the silver to change my cringy ass username i used back then before i settled for the one i use now everywhere
 
also did the helminth charger or dogs as a whole got any buffs since then or are they still walking wastes of time?. that reminds me that i tried getting the prime dog collar thing but fuck rng and fuck the orokin and their relics
 
i also tried getting 2nd last rank with the arbiters of the conclave that are allied to suba for no real reason but fuck relics
 
im just mainly bored in general to the point that i even took the fucking time to travel from colonia to sagittarius A in elite dangerous out of pure boredom and im even considering going to the abyss there for obvius reasons

Well, if it’s any incentive, I have an AtlasP Chassis you can just have to rank up with Suda; I don’t need it, it’s cheap as hell, and I’ve gathered a couple just cracking randoms to feed to The Ducat God.  

If anyone has played SWTOR, how do you manage so many abilities?
