Well, my dad is in the hospital dying of covid, we might lose him tomorrow. His lungs are pretty much ruined at this point, and so are his other organs and his functionality.

I’m sorry if this is the wrong thread for this, but it’s been bothering me and I don’t know where else to post this. >.<

So lately I’ve gotten a face full of this nonsense. If you want to see how whack it is, just type “Galactic Federation of Light” into your preferred search engine.

If this is propaganda: It’s really dumb
If this is a joke: I’m not laughing

But recently I’ve been wondering…do you think it’s possible that they believe it’s real? The elites, I mean.
Desperate people can talk themselves into believing crazy things. Just look at the QAnon crowd and the mythological narrative they’ve built up around it. You know your worldview is whack when the personification of American Crackpot Conspiracy Theorists (whether that label is justified or not) Alex Jones thinks the whole thing is nonsense.

So put yourself into the role of one of our global elites: Incomprehensibly powerful, lacking any kind of divine moral centre in their lives and having lived a lifetime of corruption, abuse and lies. You’ve done so many reprehensible things to gain and hold onto your power. What kind of person could do such a thing, apart from an Anton Chigurh-esque psychopath? One who views themselves as nothing but a mechanism of cruel, nihilistic fate, completely apathetic to human life?

Well, perhaps someone who’s utterly convinced that what they’re doing is morally justified. Someone who has, out of desperation to soothe their tattered conscience, talked themselves into a mythological narrative that completely justifies all of their thoughts and behaviour. Just like QAnon.

Maybe this nonsense is the dumb shit they tell themselves to justify all the horrendous things they’re doing. That they have done, and intend to continue doing to maintain their precarious stranglehold on power.
“Nonono, we gotta do the Great Reset so we can prepare humanity for the Galactic Federation!!”
Do you think it’s possible that they actually tell themselves that? To convince themselves all the awful shit they’ve done is justified? To say anything other then “I was wrong”?

Let me know what you think…and again, sorry if this wasn’t the right thread for this, I didn’t know where else to post this.

It’s the right thread.

I personally believe that life exists somewhere else in the universe. Too me, it’s more of a question of intelligent life existing.

The galactic federation is pure bs in my opinion. To think that alien life is here and are controlling us is insane.

The discussion of if another form of life is developing on another planet somewhere is not the point of my question, I’m more interested in what people think of the narrative and why this is now being pushed.

My theory, as I mentioned is that this could be the Global Elites version of “Trust the Plan”. At least those who aren’t actually just remorseless psychopaths. If any of them still have their humanity, they need something to justify all they’ve done, right? What better excuse then the most important project in the development of humanity as a species?

Given the sheer scale of Universe, absence of other intelligent life is, uh, calling it improbable would be so much of an understatement you’ll need Knuth’s up-arrow notation to describe it. The actual questions are “is universe real?” and “do the laws of physics allow travel and communication between different star systems, much less galaxies?”.

@FeatherTrap
It’s delusional and doesn’t fit Occam’s Razor. If the behavior can be explained as being a behavior of basic-ass bitch overgrown toddler (and it can, pretty much all of the elite is cluster B chucklefucks), you don’t need to bring in ~alien civilizations~.
That said, grand delusions of this sort are definitely possible. Cluster B (pure examples of four kinds that make it up are fairly rare, so it’s a spectrum) is a mental disorder by definition, and non-psychopaths simply don’t end up in the elite, whether because they don’t strive for it, or because they get FLEA’d on the way there into being indistinguishable between men and pigs, pigs and men.

If the smell follows you wherever you go and it remindes you of gasoline or something like that, it’s because you have a throat infection and you have been smelling the secretions all along.
It happens to everyone at least once.

I get the spirit of what you’re saying, but speaking literally that’s just not true. Your United States was founded by an elite group of good moral character who believed very strongly in the principles of Liberty, In God We Trust, and E Pluribus Unum.

I am certain that there are many psychopaths in the elite, don’t doubt that for a second. But I can’t bring myself to believe all of them are. People talk themselves into doing monstrous things all the time, the question is “how do they justify it?”

And so that’s why I wonder if that’s why this is being pushed. Because they have to believe what they’re doing is of…well, literally galactic importance to quash their guilt. And if they’re desperate to make us believe it because they’re afraid all of this is slowly leaking out, and more and more people are becoming aware of their sins. If they have a strong enough narrative to justify it…not just to themselves I wonder, but to us as well.

A group of good moral character who has just split off from the actual elite and murdered a whole bunch of people subservient to said elite.
Psychopathy isn’t a part of cluster B disorders. Stop pushing about “psychopaths”, cluster B on first impression is normal people and you don’t need to be a psychopath to do vile shit.
They’re afraid, sure. But any justification is no more than excuse so that they don’t come under fire from reasonable people - conscience develops later than when cluster B diverges from healthy emotional development.

I admit it’s early in the morning and I’m tired but I am not following why you appear to be arguing with yourself and acting like you’re arguing with me.
What do you mean I am “pushing psychopaths”? You don’t need to be a psychopath to do vile shit was exactly my point, I was just wondering if this nonsense about “Muh Galactic Federation” was the excuse they came up to quell any guilt they had about it. (As near as I can tell, considering how tired I am and how early it is in the morning) You where the one who claimed “non-psychopaths simply don’t end up in the elite”. Those are your words, not mine.

Did I read that wrong, or are you just going to say “Cluster B” again?

And yes, the Founding Fathers were the “actual elite” of America. To say that “the actual elite” is the British Parliament in this sense is to invalidate the idea of American Independence. They might have been so in the past but the entire point of that war was to break away from British rule to become their own nation…so the British have no state power anymore. Nature abhors a vacuum, especially in the hierarchy. The US didn’t just become ancapistan after the war, they became the Government.

I think you’re using the term “The Elite” here in an ideological framework, similar to the way a socialist says “The Worker”. I get that I often do that too cause I don’t want to type out a specific list everytime I want to to talk about rich people with way too much power. Heck, I used it in that sense in all three of my previous comments. But if we’re being strictly literal here then the Founding Fathers were certainly the Elite of the American Revolution, the founding ideological framework of the US as an sovereign nation.

Why we condemned people of insurrection if the very country was founded in insurrection is not that hipocracy.
