I’ve put out a book a year the past two years. There are 3 books I absolutely want to finish before I die and the new job (I’m a shoo-in) will afford me the time and money and enthusiasm to do hopefully a book a year for the next two years.
The God book, which will be about 500,000 words (40,000 written) is too big and ambitious a project for any single year. I might write some of it, but I’m holding off on this one for later.
The prequel to
Lost Horizon, which is also a biography of
Akbar, (about 20,000 words written). I already did a grand historical epic with philosophy and sword fighting. I also will have to refamiliarize myself with Mogul India since it’s been 5 or 6 years.
The horror comedy (You saw the title I uploaded with the hearts) is probably the one I’ll work on next. I actually found a dream I had in 2015 that set up this exact story. It’s going to be a pain in the ass working out motivation for escalating from 1 murder to several, but I think I can do it.
As a side note, I find it interesting that in the past two years I’ve had 4 in person interviews and 3 of them have been within the past 40 days.
