Okay, Starcraft I Kerrigan was perfectly fine as a secondary antagonist character.

Brood War Kerrigan is where the problems started where she was granted a Mary Sue (TM) patented Aura of Retardation which made everyone around her drop the idiot ball, trusting her despite knowing how untrustworthy she is and making other uncharacteristically stupid decisions. But the story of the expansion is still fine…not great, but as a build up to make Kerrigan into the new Big Bad of the Starcraft Universe it’s fine.

Then Starcraft II happened, and the Zerg became a race of misunderstood abused puppies, the previous awesome big bad was retconned into being a tormented mind-slave created by their new super awesome Space Satan Cthulthu OC villain and Kerrigan became the prophesied Chosen One.

WoL also retconned her into being a brain-slave doomer of aforementioned Satan-Squid.

Then HotS happened and now she suffers the Kylo Ren problem where her motivation changes every five minutes and her characterisation changes with every alternating line.

Fuck Starcraft II’s story, it sucks. The whole thing sucks, even WoL doesn’t escape it. Hell that’s the one that sets up most of the retcons.

My problem with it is that I don’t like the direction the series took with her on a fundamental level, so it doesn’t really matter to me how it was executed. It would be like Isaac’s wife swallowing the Hivemind at the end of Dead Space, and becoming queen of the Necromorphs. Or if Cortana had absorbed the Gravemind at the end of Halo 2, and the rest of the series was fighting her as the queen of the Flood. 343 did basically that, and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the rest of their writing is at the level it is.

As for your distaste for Kerrigan, that’s fine I guess. But you not liking the fact that they made her an infested terran that ended up supplanting the zerg leadership once the over-ruling psionic will died is not actually an objective problem with the story that makes her “disastrously written”. That’s just you not liking what they did with her character.

Don’t get me wrong, she is disastrously written as I alluded to in my previous post. It’s just that the explanation you just gave doesn’t really serve to justify that claim, and I probably would be arguing this more with you if I didn’t already agree with the conclusion, just for different reasons. <:P

WoW peaked with the Cataclysm Expansion.
Starfield is not total shit, but its still at most slightly better than Fallout 4. I wonder if it shares with Fallout 4 a rather similar amount of cut content
The PS Vita should have lasted longer in terms of Sony’s 1st party support.
Megaman 10 should have been made with a more anime-like or 16-bit kind of artstyle in mind.
DOOM Eternal should have had mod support for PS4 and Xbox One, just as Doom 2016, Skyrim Special Edition, Fallout 4, and a handful of others did.

Deus Ex: Invisible War, while disappointing in some aspects, is still more playable than either Starfield, Redfall, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Megaman X7, Megaman II for Gameboy, Sonic ’06, Shadow the Hedgehog, TES: Blades, Megaman X5, and Failout 76 at launch.

PUBG wasn’t always mediocre-fair in its overall structural quality regarding reporting of cheaters and matchmaking behavior. Krafton/Bluehole, especially on the Console side, went and got too complacent with managing of the game’s mechanics, and events, which also happened to a somewhat similar extent on PC. Almost like they are slowly abandoning nearly every part of the game.
At least it won’t end up going down in flames as with Fortnite and the Epic Store if Tim Sweeney and his closest associates were to get arrested for, say, tax evasion, or embezzeling money from slush funds that took the veil of some charities and trust funds.
