So I guess the literal extreme torture that multiple refugees from North Korea have agreed is real doesn’t mean anything?
“Economic freedom.”
With economic freedom as low as theirs, I would be surprised if you could choose to buy literally anything without the givernment’s permission. That’s how little economic freedom there is.
If that’s what you think will make you happy, just tell someone that you belong to them. I am certain you can find someone that will take you up on the offer.

The first one I posted is the Deputy Director of the propaganda ministry.
The second one is the foreign minister.
Both of these are high ranking positions, held by women.

I think they just hate what the west has become, so they’re overcompensating by idolizing its enemies.
@IvanSatoru literally said North Korea is good because it doesn’t have “gays or woman government”. We proved him wrong on the ‘woman’ part, but the ‘gay’ part still stands.

So I guess the implication is that if the government rips out your organs to sell for a profit, it’s fine as long as they don’t have gays or women.
Honestly, that isn’t even beneath North Korea.

Many Americans of the current era are just experiencing their “rebellious” phase.
Current Fad: I don’t want none of that capitalism! I want socialism. YEAH!
They’ll either get over it or some group will have to be established to begin rounding them up and possibly exterminating them for the good of society as a whole.

This isn’t really a ‘fad,’ it’s a backlash that was years in the making.
Boomer conservatives and libertarians spent decades prioritizing economics over everything else, so their children are reacting by embracing statism. In particular, the phenomenon of ‘woke capital’ has caused many right wing millennials and zoomers to reject the ‘free markets’ rhetoric of their parents because they don’t want to support corporations that openly hate them. Instead, they argue, the right should use state power to punish companies that support their political opponents like DeSantis did in Florida, because the left has been doing that successfully for years.

It’s unfortunate that they do have women involved in politics and I don’t know what is going on in Koreans’ heads by allowing that but that doesn’t mean that women rule the country, or at least not in the way that women rule western countries.
A few more things that North Korea does not have:
-Trannyism
-Mass immigration
-Blacks
-Jews
-Foreign wars
-Genocide against its own people
Also: I never insinuated that North Korea is a good place to live in at all. It is true that if you compare NK to most of Europe for example, then obviously NK starts to look not so ugly.

Communism. That’s what allowed that.
Genocide against its own people
I do agree that North Korea and countries like it seem like attractive alternatives to western governments. Communists genocide their own people by accident through dumb policy decisions, western democracies genocide their own people deliberately as part of dystopian social engineering schemes.

Socialism is built on violently taking things from people. That its foundation and its structure. AaronMK demonstrated this.
Death to all rulers
A line he cut out because it looked bad. But it’s still in the revision history.
In Russia, the Soviet Rebellion of Lenin was built on violently taking property and businesses away. Same with China. Cuba. Africa. It’s all rooted in violence and fascism.
When you see the injustices of Venezuela, China, South America, and Africa, don’t just watch as people fall back on the cop-out that it was all someone else’s fault. This is cold comfort to everyone that died to these regimes. And it will be cold comfort to you if you let them destroy your country.

You have the causality all backwards. It’s not that communist countries go to crap; it’s that countries that have gone to crap become communist.
For example, the Russian Empire had already collapsed months before the bolsheviks took over. When the property owners have destroyed the country, is it so unreasonable that the rest of the population tries to solve their problem at the expense of that class?
Any system that could exist in reality is going to suck to some degree. Are you deliberately ignoring the “violence and fascism” in some systems just because they have more power in the world at this time?

The Russian empire had just transition from Feudalism to Capitalism, and was not terrible comparatively as many like to say. One big complaint is that Russian workers of the time had to work an average of 11 hours a day. While that seems awful now, America was literally the same at the time. It was only when technology advanced that we, as a species and not just any given country, were able to go to a shorter work schedule.
No, Russia was not perfect at the time. Not even close to the best. But Capitalism has proven to improve the livelihood of citizens, and Lenin got violently in the way of it.
If you wanted to improve the system, replace it with another Capitalist system that isn’t so bad. Not with Socialist, a foundation built on violence, and maintained with violence.

Ah yes, that guy. What a cringelord.
The Russian empire had just transition from Feudalism to Capitalism
It was an incomplete transition that was interrupted by WWI, the February/October revolutions, and the civil war. There was an industrial workforce in large cities, but most of the population were still rural peasants, to the chagrin of the Bolsheviks. The industrialization didn’t finish until WWII or so, and the purpose of the Soviet Five Year Plans was to finish the job.
It’s all rooted in violence and fascism.
Fascism =/= Communism, unless you’re talking about National Bolshevism, an incoherent edgelord meme ideology that never actually gained traction anywhere.
