That’s what aliases are for.
Well, yes, of course, but nouns feel like a more “correct” default for tags.
separating actual bipeds and furries
Ah, I guess I misread you earlier; thought you meant to roll anthro
up into biped/-al
.
I could go either way, myself, though it would feel weird not to have anthro
imply biped
, for obvious reasons. :P
Hmm. On second thought, anthro centaur
/ponytaur
is a thing (and could be replaced with anthro
and centaur
/taur
tags together – in fact, pretty much all *taur tags, except canon centaurs like Tirek and the classical human top with horse bottom kind, could be rolled into taur
together with pony
and/or other applicable species tags + in most cases anthro
) and quadrupedal to boot, so maybe anthro
should be separated entirely after all…
At least Ponybooru is in a slightly better position to do it than twi and poner, due to not having had imported all the aliases and implications from Derpi.
Tru dat…
I would really like to have a consistent scale on tags for sexual characteristics. […]
Seconded in full.
Personally and specifically for breasts, I use conventional large as “large”, head-sized as “huge”, torso-sized “impossibly large”, body+ “hyper”.
Same.
Furries tend to tag balloons and beachballs as merely “large”.
We really do ruin everything. :P
Description for “anthro” and “semi-anthro” should mention that non-humanoid shape is the default and does not warrant a tag (e.g. “search for it with !*anthro,!human”), and that “feral” is for wild animals exclusively. Because I hate the stupid use of that term.
Yes to all of that.
Especially “feral,” I’ve no idea why that became a thing in furry lingo.
Personally, I’d be okay with rolling plantigrade anthro
, unguligrade anthro
and semi-anthro
into anthro
, combine with feet
, hooves
and arm hooves
as needed.
The only functional difference between semi-anthro
and unguligrade anthro
is that the latter usually has hands and breasts, anyway.
