I would probably say yes. That would be getting into a sort of sub/dom/bondage type of thing so I would say that wouldn’t be allowed in this case. If you just want a character in a collar or having a leash on that would probably be fine. But the sexual fetish implications of the pose and expressions make this one too unsafe.

Very fair! I have fetched a safe one! The safe one that might not be so safe in a different way give they’re lighting a firework in the image and the theme is INSIDE a casino.

Due to creative differences with the rest of the volunteer team, I officially resign my position and withdraw from the project.

Yes.

There is no real deadline decided on yet, as disagreements have caused us to continue searching for an image to be the collab’s background. Won’t be thinking up any deadlines until we have that, first and foremost.

Currently the background is leaning more toward something found from a general image search that would fit the submissions adequately. The theme isn’t really something that’s a sure thing anymore either as there were disagreements in how the theme concept should be implemented that led to it being dropped altogether. So for right now it’s more just a normal collab with general posing and such.

I might still be able to find a casino type background to toss everyone into but any themed posing (gambling tables, slots, etc.) might not be available. A bit of this is more waiting to see how many submissions we might have overall so I have an idea on what sort of spacing I should look into for a background I find.

wish i had time or rather, inspirations to make one. I may try a thing when I have time between a couple of commissions. I like the idea!

It wasn’t really discussed on what the background idea was really supposed to look like for sure… but my personal idea was something Las Pegasus style with plenty of upper space for flying characters along with game tables and slots on the ground. Optionally a sort of stage for shows and a bar/lounge area to relax and drink or eat at. Plenty of general floor space and space around the game areas to accommodate various characters that might be designed for them and/or have the tables and other assets be on separate layers to be moved around and positioned as needed.

But that was mostly thrown out due to certain issues that came up. If you want to throw something together for it then you are certainly welcome to. But as I mentioned above, it’s more likely just going to end up being a good quality image from a google image search or the like that I poke in photoshop a bit to make work out in the end.

sure, as things are starting to get better with my issues lately i may have time to make it and I would be glad to !
here’s an idea of the pricings, not going to assume they are all the same depending of the job but I feel motivated for that one, that’ll change my mind too.

I think commissioning an artist is actually the easier way. Google images isn’t giving us anything that suits our needs, so the project’s been stalled for a month.

We were originally going to get a comissioned background, but when FeatherTrap left he took his artist with him.

Well to be clear: the artist was already chaffing under the proposed idea and only agreed to it because I was a regular customer and he didn’t want to risk making me upset.

As soon as I indicated that the background/theme idea probably wouldn’t be happening he was eager to be rid of the job and make something else instead. I couldn’t ask him to do it again anyway, even if I wanted to.

I forgot about that, and I was the one who set that deadline! 😂
That was my original plan, but the project has hit a snag and is now stalled. We have suspended the deadline until we can resolve it.

We do have a potential lead for a solution, but we don’t have a committed yet. I’m busy this month but I can devote more attention to this issue in October.

I will discuss this more with the rest of the team (or what remains of it) sometime soon. I promise we WILL have something up by the end of the year, even if it has to be thrown together at the last minute.

I am really tired of repeating myself on this subject, enough of this.

I was already on shaky grounds with the artist anyway, he really didn’t want to work on an entire custom casino background in the timeframe originally allotted for the project. He just didn’t want to risk saying “no” to me because I’ve been such a loyal return-customer for him.
As soon as I so much as implied that we might not need it anymore, he was eager to drop it. Even if I went back to him with all the money and goodwill in the world he won’t do it.

“Took my artist with me”, motherfucker I basically had to drag him kicking and screaming as far as I did. >.<

As for me leaving the volunteer team: practical decision, not an emotional one. I like the idea of organising something for the community, but everyone else had already taken other roles and rulemaking unto themselves leaving me with nothing to do except organize a custom background and assets…which again, the artist didn’t want to do anyway.

So when I was told that actually, people didn’t want the idea I had envisioned, they just wanted a basic anniversary commission like always, I had nothing to do. When you have nothing to do on a volunteer team, you ain’t part of the team, simple as. I decided to be honest in recognizing that fact and while I understand random ass users on the booru are either not going to understand the finer points of things - or just want to stir shit - so I don’t bother responding to posts like the one from Anon above. The fact that YOU however, keep pushing this narrative that this is “Exactly” the situation when you know that’s not even slightly fucking true is getting a little aggravating, especially since you keep trying to play polite conversationalist with me in private.

If you’re mad at me, don’t be a bitch about it with passive-aggressive snipes. Just fucking say it already.
I am tired of having to explain myself over and over because of this. I’m not going to waste time doing it again. This is the final word on the subject. Anyone who continues the “Feather left in a huff” narrative is trying to start shit and I’m just going to link back to this post from now on.
