Just a flurry of H₂O
Not sure if feature request or bug report, but currently clicking on spoilers in search results just clicks through to the full page, rather than loading the thumbnail inline and snapping the spoiler back if you stop hovering. It would be really nice to be able to see spoilered images temporarily without leaving the page.

Anyone else know that the “Recent Favorites” section of the profile page is ordered by image upload date and not when you favorited it?

@Havoc
Are fave times even stored per image? The counter on your profile, sure, but I’ve never paid enough attention to the bar graph to notice if the bar itself decreases if you unfave an image uploaded on the day in question.

Pretty sure they are not. I imagine it would even be an easy addition to the table where faves are stored. Just add another column with the date.
Maybe I’ll learn elixir and contribute to Philomena, cause this feature is something I’ve also wanted for years.
Probably not though.

Revealing spoilered images on hover seems to be working on my end.
Could you tell me what browser you’re using, and if yo have any custom scripts running?

@Havoc
I can look into this.

also sorry, Ive neglected to look at this thread in a while. I’ll look at all the comments soon.

Pale Moon 28.17.0. Same problem with or without any userscripts enabled. Nothing shows up in the error console, and adblock isn’t doing anything. (I don’t see this problem on Derpibooru at all, using the same browser.)

Just to make sure, it works for you in image lists, right, not just individual image pages?

Quick question.

There’s a dropdown menu in the upper right next to your user avatar for handling spoilers. It should have four options: static, click, hover, and off. Which do you have selected?

Oh! There we go. (It was still set to static.)

An unfortunate combination of two things kept me from seeing that: first, apparently the default theme hides it when the window is too narrow (and I browse on a monitor in portrait mode with a vertical taskbar); second, I had a userstyle I hadn’t thought about that would have hid it anyway.

Thanks for the help!

No problem. It’s a surprisingly easy menu to miss, even when there’s nothing in the way.

Have a nice day/night of browsing, guy.

It would be helpful if unregistered users could report duplicate images. Right now all I can do is let the uploader know it’s already in the comments and hope they or someone else reports it.

@acres
It makes sense for the sake of consistency. Logged-out users can already post comments, edit tags and sources, and report images for rule violations. Virtually everything except reporting dupes. I don’t see what’s so special about that to limit it to logged-in users.

Primary reason being, we rely on accurate and quality reporting of duplicate images. It would be difficult to hold an anonymous user accountable for incorrect and potentially spam reports filling our inbox. Youre free to use a temporary email service to register an account and register a generic name if youd like assuming privacy is your concern. But keep in mind if you use a temp email, we cannot assist you with password recovery if you lose access to the email you registered with.

With a registered account you also have the option of commenting and uploading anonymously.

A feature that works on derpi but not on pb is twitter importing. The fetch button gets you the image and automatically puts the correct source in that field. It’s rather small, but it saves a lot of time.

Not quite a feature suggestion, but why is the search syntax page inaccessible?
