This is stuff people don’t argee with. Anyone who says half this stuff on any other brony site would be perma-banned. I’ve just got another shadowban on Twatter about 20 minutes ago just for using #PortlandRiots to describe Antifa murdering a white man, saying a white man murdered a black man, and starting a new riot over a blatant lie. And I didn’t even say any of that, I just used the hashtag.

How do you know in advance whether someone will agree with something or not? Most of this stuff so far has been people saying things they think everyone will disagree with, they think “This is it, this is so outrageous it’s going to be the thing everyone disagrees with,” and then is surprised to find that not to be the case.
 
This is just going to become another copy of the other unpopular opinion thread. And I’d be surprised if no one disagrees with that.

Okay, I say I support President Trump and someone here agreeing, that is still a valid idea for this thread because we may agree but twitter, Derpibooru, Tumblr, most mainstream media, college professors, most blacks, whites, hispanics, many companies won’t agree.
 
It’s like the view, opinion, stance, feeling and idea of Donald Trump not being bad is a universal taboo.
 
And all those sources serve as a giant society-wide echo chamber.

Yes, that’s what I thought. The other threads are boring, vanilla, goofy shit, and this is the place where serious adult discussions can be had for once. But if too many people agree on things they think others will disagree with that’s bad because they didn’t pre-cognitively know or something ahead of time that other people would agree.

Maybe I should just leave everything alone?

And I did say I support him, not that I like him or have anything good to actually say about him.
 
One reason I support him is because he’s our president.
 
One thing that used to be great about the US was that we didn’t have riots and a civil war after every single election.  
No, my candidate lost. Oh well, there’s always the next election. Our side needs to prepare for the next one.  
Even if my candidate lost, at least I had the right and opinion to vote.
 
But now… I spoke too soon. Any country can become unstable and collapse in on itself if its people are divided enough and they’re allowed to get wildly out of control. Nowadays…
 
I heard right after the election that part of why Trump won was due to Hillary insulting everyone and not even trying at the very end. She was overconfident and arrogant to the point where she thought she had it in the bag.

That’s basically what tsp, Derpibooru, wootmaster and dilarus did with the fandom. Nobody likes being told that they’re filth just because they may disagree with the speaker.
 
In fact, human beings are relatively rebellious by nature. We spit in the faces of those who would dare look down upon us. We rise up when we’ve been slighted.
 
But unfortunately both the right and the wrong are that way. Blm and others are proof of that.

Exactly. When Obama won in 2008 I made a video congratulating him even though I think he’s a reptile (not a David Icke reptoid alien, a sleazebag), because I’m a decent human being. In 2016 the leftists all shrieked and howled and filled balloons with diarrhea to throw at Trump supporters and have been rioting ever since.
 
I believe Donald Trump is a literal god emperor, and possibly reincarnation of Theodore Roosevelt, who has only done a handful of things I’ve disagreed with and then later (sometimes months later) I realized he actually had a good reason for doing so. I’d been waiting to vote for him since 1999 when he first announced he wanted to run for president and actually had a plan to retire the national debt (a plan that wouldn’t work today but might have in 2000). The day he was elected was the happiest day of my life, both because Trump got elected and also because Clinton, who is a psychopath who cackles about murdering people and destabilizing countries, like when Gaddafi was sodomized to death with an iron rod, Clinton lost. Hillary was always the brains behind Bill when he was in office. He thought with his cock, Hillary crafted all his legislation, including NAFTA and admitting China to the WTO, which destroyed the plastic industry in Jersey and kicked my family out of the middle class and into barely scraping by for twenty fucking years.
 
I have no doubt in my mind, absolutely zero, that the only reason, the ONLY reason I got any job in 2017 after what 3 years of unemployment, and then I got a halfway decent job in 2018 (making five figures for the first time in my life!) that I stayed at for two years, was because Trump was president. I didn’t know what ten grand looked like until Trump became president. I was living off mash potatoes, Rice-a-Roni, peanut butter, and olive oil (4 tablespoons is 450 extra calories, which kept me alive on starvation rations; I can’t fucking understand how poor people are so fucking fat when I was 20 pounds underweight).
 
If not for him we’d have more “shovel ready” jobs that didn’t exist and more people taken out of the workforce participation rolls so unemployment artificially drops, and I’d probably have committed suicide by now out of absolute total desperation. If nothing else Trump is good for business, and business puts food on my table. That right there makes him the ONLY good president in my lifetime, and I’d argue the only good president since JFK. He’s got a very long way to go to be that good, but considering everyone from LBJ to Obama were actively working to destroy the US, it makes Trump a good president if only for giving people jobs.
 
One big thing Trump did that I didn’t like was launching all those missiles at Syria, but then I realized the genius of what he did. He gave warning beforehand of exactly where the missiles would hit so the areas could be evacuated and all that happened was abandoned air strips were cratered. Trump simultaneously shut the neocon warmongers up by launching an attack and he didn’t actually do anything or kill anyone, keeping his promise not to get the US entangled in any more wars. His action demonstrated the stupidity of the warmongers while placating them at the same time.

if it makes you feel any better i disagree with pretty much everybody here due to having a fundamentally opposing ideology, i’m just too afraid to debate with strangers on the internet (nor do i have the necessary communication skills to deliver a compelling argument)
 
when i first saw this thread i thought it would’ve been better branded as a general politics thread, since it’s obvious this thread is ironically becoming an echo chamber in itself  
i believe this site just doesn’t have enough ideological diversity to prevent this kinda thing from happening

There is a lot of ideological diversity here. However; as most of this site’s users fled from derpibooru when that site explicitly adopted a specific ideology, it is inevitable that most will be of ideologies other than that one.
 
Also, a My Little Pony imageboard endorsing a political movement is extremely ridiculous.

As far as I’m concerned, you’re welcome here as much as anyone else, regardless of your ideology, feelings or beliefs. I’m not anyone important but rather just another user and most importantly pony fan, like you.
 
I personally, feel that we can or are already the civilized people who fled from derpibooru. Being a civilized human being is being rational, reasonable, open-minded, willing to comprise and talk our problems or issues with one another out, so that things don’t devolve into petty name-calling, threats, acts of violence and all out war. I’m speaking about on the internet and in real life, that’s why I mention war.
 
I feel that as long as we’re nice to one another and respect each other, we can get along.  
Derpibooru had many people who were mean and nasty, unwilling to talk or even listen, who attacked those who dared to think a little different.
 
We said we were Nazis, intolerant and bigoted.
 
But those people were the one who couldn’t bear the ideas of diversity and equality.  
You disagree with them you’re evil, you’re wrong, you’re a threat, you need to be eliminated. Disagreeing on a given subject is actually diversity of thought and opinion. Hearing other out, before judging and giving someone a fair chance to explain the reason for their differing view is equality. Your opinion matters just as much as mine and if I get the chance to speak then naturally you too should have the same chance to speak.
 
Nazis didn’t really like it when people disagreed with them and neither those tsp and many others using derpibooru. The Nazis thought that certain attributes made a person into a subhuman and that meant that person’s value was nullified and their life at the mercy of the state, they weren’t exactly all the merciful in the end.  
TSP labelled “channers” as “Scum”. He called for their ban, all of them. If you even visit 4chan then you’re a channer and like all the rest you should be banned. He labels some people as “subhuman”. He wants channers erased from history itself… he’s a fanatic.  
They use the term “Moon” which I assume is the “permabann” since a ban of literally 1000 years is pretty much permanent.
 
I don’t except anyone to just trust me and take my word for this or that, since that’s mostly the problem with certain people these days.

Marriage: sexual relations between a man and a woman for the purpose of bearing and raising legitimate children so that the children will grow up to be productive members of society. Does not need to involve emotional intimacy (or “love” as is typically understood today). This relationship is purely selfless, for the benefit of the future children, the families, and society at large.
 
Concubinage: sexual relations between any two people for the purpose of pleasure and emotional intimacy. This relationship is mutually selfish/selfless, and is focused around the mutual benefit of the two people involved with no thought given to children or society.
 
Prostitution: meaningless sexual relations between any two people that are paid for (although the prostitute is not necessarily the one receiving the payment, as in the case of sex slaves). This relationship is purely selfish, for the benefit of the person paying for sex.
 
We can see these different relationships actually mirror the different stages of psycho-social growth of children, from selfish, to a sort of quid pro quo form of reciprocal altruism, to eventually a big-picture societal derived form of ethics (even up to universal ethics) where even the thought of personal reward is made secondary to the greater good.
 
Sometime in the mid-1800s the idea of marriage “for love”, meaning basically marrying your concubine, or someone whom you want to have sex with and be with for no other purpose than the mutual enjoyment of the two people involved, got started and it continued to be expanded until we have basically canonized marriage that can never produce children at all and can never raise children properly.
 
Regardless of what propagandists will say no amount of social conditioning can override billions of years of evolution. Children need to be raised by their parents in intact families to grow and develop properly. Children learn how to be functional adults by watching the interpersonal relationships of their parents. Mothers and fathers both provide different and equally essential functions for proper psychological development.
 
People are so focused on their own gratification that they are destroying the lives of children, condemning the future of civilization.
