How in the hell an online community about ponies ends up becoming a magnet for so many degenerates and mentally ill people?

I will observe that some of this seemingly bizarre behavior can be explained once you realize that:
 
1: there are a non-trivial number of closeted bi or bi-curious middle and upper class guys out there
 
2: a non-trivial subset of them fetishizes trannies, seriously, it’s even its own porn category now
 
3: many of them are unwilling to experiment with such things near home and are wary of going to the next city to try out a tranny street hooker and risk getting robbed, arrested, or murdered
 
4: in kink circles there has been this meme going back to pre-Internet pulp paper “private swingers club” magazines that says “in some countries crossdressing hookers are part of the culture and there is no shame or stigma, so everyone is really relaxed and civil about it.” This results in significant numbers of upper middle class white guys with a wife and a mortgage and three kids and a secret fetish that ashames them taking a “business trip” and getting rolled or stabbed in a back alley in Bangkok or tossed in a Brazilian prison for possession of cocaine and soliciting teenage boys. Of course they run the same risks answering an Internet “escort” ad and meeting someone in a seedy hotel in a really bad part of Chicago and maybe bringing AIDS home to the wife if they survive the encounter, so therye are lots of ways to win this particular Darwin Award.
 
Maybe I shouldn’t be so judgy here. This is a fandom where wanting a blowjob from a cartoon horse is the baseline. But some of these people are off their rockers and the risks they take to live their fantasies show it.

My friend, I do not disagree, but in the age of the Internet EVERYTHING is sexualized and most of it is pushed out in the open by people who get a troll’s glee from the glares of pwople passing by.
 
I blame small insular Internet hugboxes like Tumblr. These people gather online in these echo chambers where they huff each other’s farts and convince themselves that what the whole world needs is to see them out in public letting their freak flags fly, engaging in public behavior that would have gotten them arrested in 1985 or lynched in 1950.

Transformative work (complete redraw) is now “an edit” and absence of alphabet soup messages is “anti-alphabet soup” according to Derpi staff. Also, took them three months to do it and they somehow (most likely, by lack of twitterina report on it) missed >>2834316.
 
P.S. The second one is >>2884136, an edit of >>2883420 to remove piercings and change Zipp into Flutters. You can plainly see that there’s no alphabet soup there in the first place, unless the gays are already claiming piercings and/or Zipp to belong solely to them.  
Yes, I know that the most likely, due to being consistent with previous staff behavior, reason is that they tripped over themselves in a completely pointless rush to appease a report and delete the image and hence copypasted the deletion reason, even tho it’s not applicable and it would take 5 seconds to write out “Rule 1: edit not approved by artist”. Though I wouldn’t be surprised, considering the obnoxious, sexist stereotyping that zipp is trans (which is ironically a thing that both sides do), that derpi staff see it as “removing tRaNnYrEpReSeNtAtIoN” as opposed to “removing G5” it is.

Oh, but at least is funny for us. I mean, the Derpibooru administration is a completely joke, we’ve seen different proofs about it in this thread and in different images here; I feel sorry for the users who still tolerate the fucking trash they’re doing, but they’re free to left.
