In the end, rural red areas will suffer the most from losing the USPS. After all, if it becomes profit-driven rather than universal service-based, there will be no incentive to service those areas. I say let them suffer, they voted for it, let them feel the full brunt of their actions.

That’s something I always disagree on, making profits is good and motivates people who work for other people. Without profit, work is just forcing workers living paycheck by paycheck and never have fun or find any enjoyment from their activity.
It’s taxes that forces us to live like that, we should be able to work how we want and if people find us useful they will be happy to pay the price for something that they will also find profit to. which leads us to

Taking people’s money doesn’t put it back into the economy. This idea that taking less of rich peoples’ money is somehow causing our economy to sink is rooted in the fixed pie fallacy, a belief that there is only a fixed amount of wealth in the world and that the government is needed to stop rich people from hoarding too much of it. This is not how the economy works.

Why stock buybacks are dangerous for the economy
They have been abusing the stock buybacks for years now ever since reagan and have profited on it. Remember before they couldnt DO that. But you can also just read up on it too. It makes the shareholders more money and can fuck over the workers when before they couldnt. So instead of giving their workers pay raises or bonus’ that extra money they do make goes into buying the shares for an artificial boost in stats that doesnt last long
