We live in a society where moving a foot without graduating from a Foot-Moving school controlled by the American Foot-Moving Association, which sets the standards and quotas of foot-moving, carries a hefty fine or even prison time. But that’s okay because Foot-moving unions and regulations on foot moving improve the quality of foot moving and protects american consumers from unscrupulous foot movers. Gay.

It’s hard to say. It has bits and pieces that I like but, importantly, those are all either from or heavily lean upon other characters. The main character (I can’t even remember her name. Meg, I think) is as utterly unlikable as a normal person can get without crossing the line into puppy-kicking territory. Listening to her go on and on to her mostly poor friends from broken homes about how awful her life is as she’s coming back from dropping out of her paid-for college education to stay with her loving, supportive parents is bad. Having to listen to it for most of the game is painful and occasionally infuriating.

At one point the greater plot seems like it’s developing into something really interesting. Then the game ends. That’s why I call it furry Seinfeld: it a game about nothing following an unlikable protagonist and her far more likable friends.

Watching vids at 2x speed helps. I’m not even going to summarize it because I’m in a bad place and thinking of LOLbertarianism, which is the most anti-Christian ideology ever created, is only going to piss me off.

Without context of the video I am split in calling Libertarians (do you consider all Libertarians LOLbertarians or do you have a distinction for the “non vulgar” ones who are at least anti mega corperation ?) On the one hand you could say that the Bible holds that Christians really shouldn’t force things on others and that a Libertarian outlook that tries to hold non-interference, no empire building, and living in peace with a world with various different groups is the most Christian outlook. Yet, the more comical hedonism and anti poor attitudes out of some of these corners I can see your point.

@Maulkin
Yep. Glenn Beck is part of the Kosher Sandwich. He is designed to prevent people on the Right from straying off the reservation — from seeing things they are not supposed to.

I would be curious to know what wasn’t a Jewish distraction in your eyes but not your ideology. In my experience in dealing with “white nationalist” as you refer to yourself, everything to the left of you, and somethings to the right, are all jewish agents meant to guide people away from the true knowledge ||I was even told by one guy that anyone who calls themselves a white nationalist is pozzed ||

Note: I would actually like to get back to our discussion at some point as I am curious as to where it may go. Right now a little busy at the moment.

The thing is that libertarianism holds as the highest virtue selfishness (even if you choose to help other people it’s because it makes you feel good, not because it’s the right thing to do) whereas Christianity holds as the highest virtue self sacrifice. The two are not compatible. Libertarianism also holds as a high virtue private ownership whereas in Christianity literally everything is owned by God and God can recall anything that has been lent to you, including your life, at any moment.

There are less bad libertarians who choose to live good lives but still I think they’re confused and parrot talking points that don’t gel well with the way they live and the way they want the world to be. I’m thinking they’re confusing the desire to be left alone and other people out there in the world can live however they want and to practice nonviolence (which started the whole monastic movement and other groups like the Amish and Hutterites) and the worship of money, the worship of “the invisible hand of the free market”, and other stuff like that.

And the good ones aren’t the ones who appear on the Internet: the “self-made” youtube stars who are making six figures on donations like a bum on the street claiming that’s capitalism and everyone who is poor is just lazy or stupid. That’s the thing with that video. Basically it challenges the idea that your job can treat you like shit and pay you substantially less than enough to live and dispose of you at any moment and force you to train your green card replacement who they can pay 1/10th what they’re paying you and offshore all their money so they don’t ever have to pay taxes and collapse the economies of small towns and then get golden parachutes and do it again somewhere else and if you don’t like it you can pull millions of dollars out of thin air and start your own company. LOL free market.

Other Western post-industrial societies can find ways to incorporate living wages, worker protection, affordable housing, and affordable healthcare and not have everything be super expensive. Maybe stuff will be twice as expensive, but stuff was more expensive 30 years ago and no one complained. Stuff is cheaper now because it’s made by literal slaves out of shit that is designed to fall apart. I’d pay $100 for a pair of jeans that will last me multiple decades over having to get a new $15 pair every year or every two years, because I lived back then and I did. I’d be willing to pay more to guarantee that all workers are making a living wage because I did pay more decades ago. A big mac meal in 1980 was $2.59. It’s $5.99 today but that’s still less than it was in 1980 because of inflation. The 1980 meal would be almost $9 today, so while the cost in nominal dollars has increased the cost in real dollars has decreased to almost half.

An example I keep going back to is the rabies vaccine. Rabies is 100% curable if it’s caught before symptoms develop and 100% fatal afterward, so getting the vaccine is essential for survival. In India a Rabies vaccine is free, in the US a rabies vaccine costs $40,000 (a single treatment consists of multiple doses over several weeks, the price is for the total course, not each single shot). That’s more than most people make in a year and a whole lot more than most people have saved up, guaranteeing that someone either go into massive debt or die.

This is bullshit and unsustainable.

Allegedly there is a labor shortage, but there isn’t, there’s a glut of greed. The “problem” is people are making more off unemployment than they were at their crappy jobs. The “free market” solution would be to increase wages to the point where people were willing to work again. The LOLbertarian solution is for corporations to bribe the government to not pay people the unemployment benefits that they paid for when the government took it out of their paychecks when they were working, forcing people to take jobs that pay shit and have no job security or starve to death. LOLbertarians on youtube have literally said “starvation is a good incentive to force people to get a job.”

“Just negotiate better brah!” You can’t negotiate if you are starving to death and your brain isn’t functioning properly. You can’t negotiate if all employment is “at will” and you can be fired for no reason at all. You’re forced to accept whatever terms the slave master dictates to you.

The problem was NEVER people not wanting jobs, the problem is people don’t want to work and not get paid enough to live.

“But people were never meant to live off minimum wage jobs.”

But they do, so that argument is worthless. People weren’t meant to live in cities, have electric lights, and drive cars but they do, so suck it. People DO have to work multiple minimum wage jobs to make ends meet, and not just because they have no skills or because they got bullshit degrees.

“Just do STEM brah! Just go to trade school!” And flood the market STEM degrees and trade certifications, recreating the very same problem they tried to escape from.

There are people with masters degrees in engineering working stocking produce at grocery stores because of visa programs that let corporations hire 4 Indians for the price of 1 American and still make a profit. “The free market brah!”

Fuck the free market. No other country has a “free market” and “free trade” because that’s bullshit. It drains money and talent from the country. Why is the US operating at a trade deficit with every other country on the planet? Because the US is the only country retarded enough not to have tariffs. The US is the only country retarded enough to believe in “free trade”.

I fixed the picture so they’re both standing up. That huge gap is allegedly 2 inches. I know people get shorter as they age but I don’t believe carter shrank a foot and a half.
full
I measured it. If we assume Carter is still 5’10 that means Biden is 7’5’’. If Biden is 6’0’’ then that means Carter had to shrink to 4’8’’.

I believe you’re wrong, given the solid evidence for it being something neurobiological, rather than simply mental. However, that doesn’t mean the treatment is as one-sided as the twitter crowd would want you to think. I believe psychotherapy would still have a solid chance of improving that person’s well-being, by teaching them healthy ways to deal with dysphoria.
The twitter crowd likes to tout transitioning as the only solution, because the alternative is very similar to sexuality conversion therapy, but that’s clearly not a good solution for everyone. If only because there are no real downsides to being gay, whereas there are tons of downsides to transitioning.
However, treating it like only a mental issue would run the risk of trying to solve a fundamentally unsolvable problem—in the case where it is a neurobiological issue. My point is that if you’re wrong (which you may or may not be, I don’t have all the facts), you’d run the risk of doing more harm than good.
I’m not telling you to completely switch around your beliefs, I’m just trying to get you to adopt a more nuanced mindset. I still think transition should be used as a last resort, and I wish more shrinks believed that.
Discussions like this are why I really want there to be more studies on the matter, so that no one ever has to be unsure if a treatment was the right for them.
idk if I’m being too concise or rambly, I can’t really spend too much time typing today

You sound kind of like someone who’s only experience with libertarianism is faggots on reddit who read Ayn Rand once (who most libertarians don’t care all that much about.) I don’t really describe myself as a libertarian but I do think someone should have a more than a surface-level understanding of something before they criticize it.

They have higher rates of STDs and drug abuse, for two things.

I ran in libertarian circles in the mid-2000s and for a time though I was one to the point where I self-identified as libertarian. I read all the right authors, parroted all the right talking points. I think I have enough understanding.

Those two aren’t direct consequences of homosexuality. They’re just consequences of gay “culture”, which I’m not going to defend.

You say anti-christian like it’s necessarily a bad thing. Faith and religion are good for people who want to find meaning in life through that way, but there’s nothing wrong with finding a different meaning.
You talk about the idea of doing good for salvation as if it’s any different than doing things to feel better. At the end of the day, both of those come down to the same thing.
Doing what’s right because your religion taught you so really isn’t any different than doing what’s right because that makes you feel better about yourself.
Also, spending 7 minutes of my time on something—before knowing if it’s worth my time—is not something I’m particularly interested in.
