Original Description:

“Just a little bit further now…” Maverick said, smiling, placing his hooves over Lyra’s eyes.

“What is it?” Lyra asked, smiling. Her heart was beginning to beat just a bit quicker now.

“You’ll find out soon enough…” Maverick laughed, before looking at the gift he was giving her. He made the trip out to Chicacolt as there was a parade that was going to take place very soon, and he could only stare at the surprise that he had for her as be bit his lip gently. He then unfastened Lyra’s blindfold as Lyra herself smiled wondering what the surprise was, then let out a loud gasp as she placed a hoof over her chest. In front of her was a parade balloon of herself.

“Maverick!” Lyra said in complete surprise as the balloon was suspended, waving gently in the wind, squeaking faintly. “What is this?”

“It’s a gift…” Maverick told her, smiling. “I put your name down for a ballot for a pony to be made into a parade balloon, and you were one of the few chosen!”

“You did this… for me?” Lyra asked, confused.

“Yes.” Maverick smiled. “You are one of my closest friends in the land. You, Bonbon and Ocean Soul and I working together with our art and stories and having great times together… what more could two best friends want?”

“Awww…” Lyra smiled, placing a hoof over Maverick’s shoulder embracing him. She then looked at the parade balloon a bit longer. “I still can’t believe what I’m seeing here.”

“And once the parade is finished, it will need a good home…” Maverick laughed.

“It’s all yours! Think of it as having a part of me always in your family’s home.” Lyra smiled back at him. She then moved towards her parade balloon, looking for a moment before poking it gently with a hoof.
