What I find interesting is that the hardest part, by a lot, wasn’t drawing this not knowing what a horse looks like and having to interpret a bunch of pictures and rotate them in 3 dimensions in my head to get the angles right, it wasn’t coloring this to match best as I could the shadows from the picture, the hardest part and the reason I don’t draw more often was extracting the outline from the pencil drawing onto the computer.

I created Starshine in 2012-ish, Late 2012, early 2013. I worked at Macy’s and saw this really cool dress that looked like a night sky with a purple gradient and little rhinestones that looked like stars. She’s young and is still learning to make sense of life, like me, only I’m not young anymore.
