H@H or Hentai at Home is their mechanic which allows users to create and seed torrent files of various galleries on there for others to download. Over time you can earn a site currency called Hath which allows you to buy various perks and benefits relating to the site itself or it’s browser game. There’s also a GP currency that is used for other things that is earned through having a gallery uploaded yourself and the amount of hits/downloads you get on that gallery.
From what I recall (from 10-ish years ago) is that Moderation Power is how much influence you have in regards to upvotes, downvotes, tagging, and comments. It is a point based system with tagging which helps to keep the tagging system under control since new users can tag but generally only have 1 mod power. So you can upvote helpful tags to make them more prominent and have them make an impact in searches and downvote or remove ones if you make it’s tag power 0 if they don’t apply to a gallery in the first place. Similar to a comment system like e621… there are vote points on them. You start off with your mod power already on your initial comment and people can vote it up/down using their mod power. Obviously going negative will hide your comment like on e621 but that can happen faster if someone with high mod power downvotes you just once.
Overall it’s a somewhat complicated and hard to explain system that realistically I probably don’t know much about anymore after this long. XD
You just have to login into the browser game (HentaiVerse) / forum to access exhentai. If you have visited exhentai before you logged in a cookie that locks you out is set. So you simply have to delete all cookies of exhentai and then you can get in.
And yes, the difference is that you can look at “forbidden fruits”
I think it might be a mix of playing that browser game and just general interaction on the site to potentially unlock it. I recall the main site having a sort of vote power system that was based on your general interactions, level in the browser game, and hits on stuff you have uploaded. So when upvoting/downvoting stuff you would basically have more power in that.
I currently only have a 9 power on it but at one point I think I was at around 18-25 or something like that. It goes up with interactions and down over time without anything.

Been ages since I was on that site… I used to frequent it all the time and I liked the little browser text based game they had as well. I remember you used to be able to search for MLP on there and a little judging pony would be over the search results after you did.

Agreed, I tried but it’s not unlockng features nor access. And I’m having trouble with clearing the cookies
