You think so? For me it had the completely opposite effect. I would have forgotten about her entirely if it wasn’t for those fics, which in turn might have made me believe she’s an OC.

I think in this case the Winningverse is amplifying the effect of Blossomforth being mistaken for OC. Newbies only know her as a character from that popular fanfic and assume she is an OC.
Ah. So she was background background. Not one of the “every third episode” background horses.
Her first appearance in the show was in Hurricane Fluttershy.
Also briefly showed up in Inspiration Manifestation and The One Where Pinkie Pie Knows.
I think it’s the hair. With how similar her hair looks to Twilight’s, the newer fans of the show probably keep thinking she’s just a recolored Twilight someone made as a basis for an OC.
