I know NOTHING
@Deserter
Unless you take it that Equestria is flat or otherwise a non planetary body. Though we have seen globes before within the show, I have heard of evidence to the contrary but I believe this is more rooted in the fact that “well, things can’t work with it being a sphere with what we see on screen.”

@Deserter
then that means the sun has to spin around the planet because of the gravity pull.
I guess you could make the argument that Celestia and Luna accelerate the speed the sun and moon rotate around the planet to compensate for that, and it’s like a wind-up box in that they need to keep “pushing” them,
If we take the Sun and the Moon as real celestial objects that fully or mostly conform to our laws.

Hell, even if Equestria’s universe is geocentric, then that means the sun has to spin around the planet because of the gravity pull.
I guess you could make the argument that Celestia and Luna accelerate the speed the sun and moon rotate around the planet to compensate for that, and it’s like a wind-up box in that they need to keep “pushing” them, but that would mean the moon is also tidally locked to the planet’s rotation, and I’m pretty sure that would mean there’s something very wrong with the planet at that point.

All I’m saying is that there was a reason why Celestia kept the other races separated, ponka. And Twilight won’t tell me why.

Look, the planet has to spin around the sun, even if it’s tidally locked to it, otherwise the planet would just drift off into space, and that would make Celestia and Luna the princess of the night and day respectively in the other hemisphere.
Hell, what hemisphere are we in right now? Does Equestria even have hemispheres? I’ve seen compasses, but for all I know they could just point to the gravity well Celestia’s giant ass creates at all times.

AnonAdán: There’s nothing wrong with the royal princesses loving one another.

AnonAdán: That’s basically all I said. That’s what “lovers” do. They love one another!
