Remake of my previous Celestia image. I’m sorry to anyone who liked the original; it was brought to my attention that it highly resembled an image made by another artist to the point of looking like I had traced significant portions of it. While I stand by the fact every line drawn was my own, I also thought it wasn’t worth arguing over a piece that was so similar to one that came before it. I expunged it from everywhere I posted it out of the respect for both the artist and myself; if I share art, I want it to be something new and unique, not derivative of someone else’s work, whether it is intentionally so or not.
 
With that, I actually appreciate the ordeal because I saw it as a challenge to redo the image with the idea I was still fond of, specifically something I hadn’t done before, being a front view. I anticipated having trouble with it because of symmetry, and sure enough, the hardest part of this next to the anatomy was the symmetry, particularly the face symmetry. I think it was an acceptable first attempt, though. The standout problems are the eyes, back left leg, and wing, but I’m pleased enough with it nonetheless, and it’s always fun to draw Sunbutt. Hope any of you who liked the original like this one as well. Colored version will be done at some point.
