What Are You Looking Forward To With G5? [Positive]

I’m personally looking forward to learning what happened to the mane 6! I also enjoy 3D animation so that’s another upside. So far from the revealed ponies my favorite is Zipp, I love her attitude and colors.
 
What are YOU looking forward to? Any favorite character designs from the revealed ponies?
 
I would like to just chat about some things involving G5 without getting the standard “die g5, g4 is better!!” de-evolution lmao

Alright, I’ll bite. Though I am a fair G5 skeptic I am open to it being okay. Really can’t judge, even animation, till I fully see it.
 

 
If it is done with half competence I think I could enjoy that exploration. My hope would be that it is done in a… how do I put it, mythical haunting way. Like some things about them being a mystery and them having both a reverence for them with slight misconceptions and them interacting on some level with a element or character that new them later and corrected/put it into perspective. Say Spike or HoloTwi.
 

 
Izzy Moonbow is the favorite of the mane 5 for me. Though I haven’t quite figured out a way to articulate that real well.

I like that there are ponies in it.

Cute ponies, that’s what I’m looking forward to. I want to learn more about what Izzy’s personality is actually like. She looks fun from the all the animated material released so far and who can forget about her tennis ball.
 
I’d also like to know just how magic was lost and what exactly is meant by that.

I completely forgot that the lack of magic was a plot point!! That does sound interesting to me. I don’t tend to look at stuff for the story because I wanna go into it blind.

People are allowed to be skeptical of the series or downright hate it! It’s their right as a person, I can understand why some aren’t attracted to the idea of it. I just put that in there cause conversations like that make my head hurt and are really just unnecessarily venomous when the movie hasn’t even come out yet :P
 
From what I’ve heard the movie will be PG, I hope they take full advantage of that and use it to make a good storyline.

I am looking forward too something that is cozy. I just want cozy pony time. Be neat if it could be like season 1 but I’ll be happy even if it does have some higher stakes and more advanced plot. Speaking of advanced plot-lines, I sure hope they have one or two of the immortal character’s at least make a appearance, like Flurry!
 
The character that I like the most, design wise, is, Sunny Starscout. I just like orange ponies and all.
 
3D animation is overly hated. I understand it getting tiring do how there is copious amounts of it in movies along with a lot of low budget stuff on TV but like any tool in the right hands…  
 
 
 
Looks as good and expressive as anything in 2d. I think from what I have seen of G5 it is going to be great in the movie, with the only concern I might have is some of the details being so vivid and photo-realistic that I can see a slight uncanny valley effect for some.

I wonder if they mean magic being fully lost or if they mean friendship was lost. I could see them pulling a Harmony Theory* where magic still technically exists but was quite reduced and everypony’s magic is weaker or something.

Oh my god I can’t wait for blender artists like DJTHED to get their hands on the newer characters in their own blender styles.
 
I wonder if there’s gonna be any model releases of the characters and their rigs? I’m assuming not because some people may use them for nefarious deeds :’)

I wish I could be more positive, but I don’t really have anything I’m looking forward to. I just hope it’s enjoyable and doesn’t try and live off of G4’s success.

I’m not too excited, but I’m not worried about it. Though a few recent rebootquels burned me.

that would be super cool!! Since Pinkie Pie never follows and set rules of life or laws of physics perhaps she will be there too? Hell, maybe all of the mane six have been suspended in time somewhere because of the loss of magic and we’ll get to see them one more time.

Is it weird that I kinda want pinkie, rd, rarity, applejack, and fluttershy to be deceased? Like have them be somepony revered and respected by modern ponies?

I want that too. I’d prefer they’d reference the G4 cast as little as possible, but it would be cool to occasionally have either them or their accomplishments brought up in reverence here and there.

Looks fun. I’m not sure what Netflix’s obsession is with worlds losing magic,but I didn’t hear “We Need a Hero”,and I don’t see any Revelation crew,and they’re not claiming it’s an anime,so it’ll probably be okay.

I hope it’s happy and fun. I really hope it’s just nice little ponies with no deeper meaning to anything. Just a nice little story with bright colors to make me forget about life for a few hours. That would be grand.
