Shouldn’t the “derpibooru exclusive” tag be automatically removed as it’s now here?

I know Marker’s import script is set up to do exactly that, with almost all meta tags. I imagine some users are using scripts that don’t do this however unfortunately. If you find any images with meta tags like this or things such as “adventure in the comments” and such, feel free to remove them unless they seem to actually apply to the image in question as it stands here.
 
EDIT: Okay I just checked and realized that theres hundreds of these images. I’m sure we’ll figure something out from staff standpoint to deal with it in bulk haha.
 
If anyone is running a script that reads this, if you’re capable of modifying it to exclude meta tags (Marker’s script has an example of such tags to filter) upon upload, it really would be appreciated.

Minor character tag classification seems inconsistent still. Using this image as an example, Pinkie’s mom and Rarity’s mom are in blue, but none of the other mothers’ names are. Some of those names might not be canon (like Fluttershy’s and Trixie’s), but then what about Spoiled Rich, Aunt Orange, and Stormy Flare who do have canonical names?

Should the “long Glimmer” tag imply “overly long gag”?

Ginger Snap, the little filly scout, should be a blue tag with Tag a long aliased into it (once aliasing up, that is), same goes for Tootsie Flute and Liza Dolots with Petunia being removed from all images involving her.
 
Also, Ruby Pinch should get the blue tag treatment as well.

Thanks for pointing all those out, I believe they’re all now categorized correctly. Hopefully I didn’t miss any in that image.
 
Character classification is done manually so it will definitely take time to get this all set up. Whenever I happen to notice an error I’ll handle it, but having it pointed out here is very helpful as well, so thank you!

Ginger snap/tag-a-long I believe were already aliased in the same manner derpibooru is. If not they are now.
 
Tootsie Flue/Liza Doolots/Petunia is an interesting situation. For some reason Derpibooru had it set up so each of those names implies the other two, rather than aliasing them. For the time being I’ve replicated that, though it may change to aliasing later.
 
I’ve also went ahead and categorized Ruby Pinch as well as a number of other fillies and colts correctly as characters as well.

The Ginger Snap/Tag-a-long got aliased the wrong way, the former is should be the main tag while the latter is aliased, the only reason it was done was due to a character out of the comics with the name, though considering who most people use the name for, Ginger Snap (IDW) could work for that pony.
 
Yeah, one of the mods there, or site admins, I forget, did that due to how Petunia was Tootsie Flute’s old fan name, which is no long used for her.
 
Also, when it comes to the Power Ponies, think we could clear the tags up for the characters? As it causes a bit confusion if one wants to watch the tag for the characters themselves and not the mane 6 dressed as them.
 
the second one was out of a third party game (Canterlot Card Game) and isn’t exactly official.
 
Edit: Coronet could also use a blue coloring too.

Derpibooru database dump contains all tag aliases and other tag information

 
The tag ‘featured image’ is also should be removed or renamed to ‘derpibooru featured image’ for these images. I got this list with query ‘featured image,faves.lte:4’ but put here the long list because result of such query changes for new featured images or changed fave count.

When looking at a specific image (>>16), I have noticed the character tags in the upload are ones that are aliased to other character tags. applebloom (which was aliased to apple bloom) and aj (which was aliased to applejack) are as of now still being used despite being aliased to other tags. This makes it impossible to search up the image when looking specifically for one of these two characters.
 
It seems that the site can’t automatically replace aliased tags in an upload when the tags in the upload are locked. I’m sure this is a bug that needs fixing. When this bug gets fixed, someone in the site staff should replace the tags in the image if the tags still didn’t change.

I have a bit of a tagging-related question (hopefully this is a good place to put it. If not, feel free to tell me to post elsewhere).
 
Since most (if not all) of my art seems to have already been uploaded here from Derpi, and I never got around to actually fixing the tags there (adding myself as the artist, therefore there’s no artist tag on any of the images), would I tag it with YellowDevil, the name I used there when I uploaded them, or ToodleSpoon, the one I currently use here, or does it even really matter as long as it’s consistent between all of them?

As the artist, I’d imagine you can tag them as whichever you prefer. You can probably ask to have the names alias each other, too.

The tag was transferred due to the mass upload from derpi, I would like to suggest changing the tag “derpibooru exclusive” to “derpibooru exclusive no more” or something like that.

I can’t see a lot of profit from both removing or leaving the ‘derpibooru exclusive’. It means it was loaded to derpibooru by artist and they didn’t load to other artist’s accounts . This doesn’t imply it was not uploaded to all other imageboards and discord chats as well by other people. Though this tag does not have lot of meaning in context outside derpibooru, sometimes it can help to find original derpibooru id.

How about changing the tag to “five finger Derpscout” or something?

I found an issue with how tags behave when trying to edit them in >>16. The inability for normal users (like me) to edit them implies one thing:
 
It looks like the AI that automatically changes aliased tags in an upload seems to actually also be affected when the upload’s tags are locked; Any aliased tags will still be seen on the upload, but now with a zero attached instead of a proper number. There are worse side effects, but this one’s the most immediately noticeable.
 
And yes, I can easily tell that upload >>16’s tags are indeed locked.
 
The reason I’m reporting this issue with how the site functions here is because I feel it should belong in the tags forum, for it is definitely something that is related to tagging. And also I fear that explaining this oddity through reporting the image itself would be considered against the rules for reporting images.

That’s been discussed in another thread, and while there’s nothing conclusive in there I’d agree with the general sentiment of better safe than sorry. I’d tag anything suggestive or above with lolicon, just to be sure. Most people don’t want to see that stuff, or may risk legal issues if they do, after all.

The search feature is kinda cumbersome without proper aliases.
