Rule #3

It may be a good idea to change Rule #3 so that it doesn’t include “furry” so much, such as:
 
“If an image includes an anthropomorphic character that is not specifically pony-related, tag this as “furry”. A major part of the image must be pony-related in order to be allowed (see Rule #4). Species such as diamond dogs, zebras, changelings, etc. already featured in the show are fine.”
 
It may also be a good idea to not even let the “furry only” tag exist because people will only continue to get all up in arms about things. Rules need to be clarified well enough to dissuade furries from saying “oh! another booru I can post whatever I want to as long as I tag it as “furry”!” (especially if Zizzy and friends are already doing a furry booru) and to give other users confidence that the place will not be infested with furry images.
 
Otherwise, this place will be DOA unfortunately.

It may also help to define what exactly “furry” means because technically stuff from Them’s Fightin’ Herds could be tagged as “furry”. I understand that things like that is stretching it, but it’s just a suggestion.

Just for the record, Rule 3 already has been altered, and has stated directly in it at the moment that it will need clarification.
 
I imagine other things are just taking priority right now.

agreed. ive been running around trying to explain to people that it will actually be more strict than derpibooru (since i was reading it as things such as Thems Fighting Herds and deer ocs will also be tagged as furry)

Yeah needs clarification but I’m getting tired for sure here. Will be able to clear it up later hopefully.

Agreed.

Remove furries. They have basically everywhere else on the internet they can post. If Derpi falls the only pony booru left will be Rainbooru outside of a few extremely niche websites.

is this a derpibooru alternative or not? I’m here for pony not furry.
 
allowing furry would ruin the purpose of this website

it mlp website not a furry one and why include furrys they got fur affinity and many art site

it call ponibooru not furrybooru for a reason

As far as i understand, the only “furry” content allowed will be stuff that actually kinda has a relation to mlp, but not actually pony or from the show itself. So things like deer ocs, Them’s Fightin’ Herds, and similar situations will be tagged as furry. Images with actual furry ocs will only be allowed if they also include a pony in the image.  
then again i could be wrong, but if it’s anything other than this i will be surprised.

The thing is, posting characters from Them’s Fightin’ Herds and anthro species from the show (aka abyssinians) was considered a non-issue until it was brought up. The only problem was when characters became “too OC-like” to be really considered mlp characters anymore, and instead just straight up furries. That would then be a judgement call to be taken down or not.
 
Honestly, the word “furry” shouldn’t even be mentioned in the rules at all because it just attracts the wrong crowd, pushes away the intended crowd, and makes us bicker about stupid technicalities like this.

agreed, the wording needs a lot of work. hopefully zizzy will fix it soon, but i understand he’s pretty busy
