Ass-backwards move but okay, since it’s rather clearly in violation of stipulation one (unless you’re going to allow all the OCs and Sonatism of any furry that draws pony, regardless of pony-relation or not, as that’s the only connection i can see here) given it’s literally just a wolf with an ass stamp slapped on, sometimes not even that.
 
Also means you’ll need a new example image if that’s the case, as the current one is thus no longer accurate.

The idea is that pony-whatever hybrids are allowed, but if they’re too far into furry we just tag them, effectively deleting them from the website.  
They’re gonna take up disk space anyway (unless we go out of our way to nuke them), so we might as well be just a tad closer to being a proper archive.  
As for your last point, I think the image still illustrates the idea of “this type of stuff is heavily discouraged, and will be hidden from logged out users,” though we might want to change the description we put on that image.
 
The general idea is to delete less, and instead treat the furry tag as “basically deleted”

I don’t think that’s very effective. There’s nothing stopping a logged-out user from searching for and using an “everything” filter that filters absolutely nothing.

Don’t even get me started on having the public-facing Everything filter not be actually everything and making everyone who doesn’t want to give you more than the IP they use to connect with mooch off of others to get an actual everything filter.

You wanna use the site and customize filters beyond what we have predetermined as viable for randos to see while stumbling upon the site, just make a throw away account lmao. Its not hard ^:)

Not exactly good form to be a cunt in the feedback thread without anything of substance to contribute (especially as it’s designed to be like the Derpi PTSD thread by your own admission in the OP) but then, since you’re doing it, you don’t care.
 
Man, am i gonna enjoy documenting this place’s decline too.  
Y’know, in an annoyed sense.  
Gonna be hard to beat Derpi’s high score on file size for fuckups, though.

edit: I apologize if I came off a bit strong, but you really do have a major tendency to say things in a very abrasive way, gets to me sometimes. Im working on not being so reactive, but you certainly have a way with words my friend.

Abrasive because otherwise i get exactly 0 feedback on whether my words are read, and if the words aren’t read, there’s no fucking point writing them.
 
Though i sincerely doubt Ponybooru will crash and burn far harder than Derpi has without Zizzy taking his meme nickname seriously and axing the whole thing TheShitPiss style.  
The possibility is there, though.
 
My point earlier was less ‘burners are easy’ and more ‘many, MANY people prefer to be anonymous’.

That said, this change, while I am opposed to it because of my stance being “fuck off furries you have e621, FA, DA, inkbunny, sofurry, and a gajillion other sites including even furpibooru, you don’t deserve to be included here”, makes ponybooru fit between twibooru (“REEE YIFF IN HELL FURFAGS”) and ponerpics (“uwu this literal cow/deer/genetic abomination is allowed because it shares name with pony oc uwu”) more accurately.
 
 
P.S. Premade “Everything” filter should spoiler or hide exactly 0 tags.

I will discuss with the team on the what they think about a truly everything filter, but dont hold your breath.
 
But as for furry shit with ties to mlp, it is part of the fandom and its art. Yeah furries can yiff in hell, but that doesnt mean dumping and deleting masses of furry/mlp crossover art. We dont go around deleting Steven Universe x MLP crossover art ||even if I really really want to. ||
 
If the tie in is substantial enough, with an intent to be MLP related, we’ll host it.

The point isn’t to stop logged out users from seeing them, it’s so that if someone wants to see furry shit, they have to go out of their way to switch to a “true everything” filter.  
It’s like Luzion said, as long as it has some tie to MLP it belongs here. But if it’s mostly furry, it gets hidden by default.
 
That said, we should probably change up our filters a bit.

The ponybooru/Z+ network subscribestar(patreon clone essentially) helps offset the cost of running the site including hardware and storage for that matter.

We buy new stuff as cheap as we can. Helps keep costs down, more bang for the buck. Not sure its 100% sustainable long term, but its hard to say for sure.
