Report: akedown request: They’re literally just spamming the same comment over and over again on multiple images. https://ponybooru.org/images/2918761#comment_48987 https://ponybooru.org/images/2918118#comment_48988 They literally can just filter “G5” or “My Little Pony: A New Generation” if they don’t like it.
 
Action taken: reporter found digging through old comments, was warned previously for doing so. Served a 3 day ban.
 
Ban message: Rule 11 - You’ve been specifically warned about doing “background checks” and other forms of targeted harassment against individuals on this booru via the report function. Your actions are unwarranted, unwanted and quite frankly fucking stupid. Half of your reports are petty whining that results in staff having to waste time going through a checklist to see if they’re valid or not, you’ve even resorted to reporting old comments and images that are not something you’d be seeing unless you were specifically seeking it out. Hence our justification that you are performing targeted harassment against one or more users, and you have been banned for 3 days from ponybooru. Further infractions may incur longer durations or a permanent ban.

We tend to work our way up bans. Going directly for a moon ban seems unreasonable, even if I’m not sure if the poster in question seems intent on only posting that comment.

Images unmerged and then re-merged in the other direction. My bad on this one; I was the one who originally accepted the dupe, and mis-read it.

Report: Someone reported their own comment with the message “I think this person is targeting me” in regards to a spike abuse image.  
Action Taken: Dismissed, I can assure you’re not being targeted.
 
I’m also going to start deleting any spike abuse image that’s low effort edits and crops. Whoever it is, is causing us more work and have already been told to stop.

I don’t know if he was spamming this time, I only saw a few comments. But he was ban evading. If he wants to appeal his ban, we have a process for that.

As these two reports are somewhat linked, I’ll just say it once here:  
The general guideline that we have for tagging is to tag what you see. Though exceptions are made for this when it comes to more ambiguous stuff like shipping, this isn’t one of those exceptions. Both images have been deemed to be not show-accurate, despite the artist’s apparent intent, and have been tagged as such.
 
The tags may be unlocked in the coming days.
