the security certificate ran out today (01.11.2023), that should probably be updated

It seems tags auto-added by implications do not add it’s own implied tags in return.

Yeah, they never have.

Or, to be specific, they did for a few hours, years ago, on Derpi, but that change was reverted when they realized the newly-implemented recursive tagging was what kept crashing the site by causing an infinite loop if the implied tag implied the implying tag, e.g. a character with two or more names that both imply each other.

Are tag implications broken? Or have I literally used tags that never had one?

Implications worked just fine for my latest taggings earlier today…

Sometimes implications can fail to load either because of connection issues or because the tag you’re attempting to type has too few entries/is too new to register. Might be one of those issues.
