When the ‘Great and Powerful’ Trixie managed to get a magician gig at the Canterlot City Community Center, she thought it was just going to be a normal, run-of-the-mill performance and that absolutely nothing could go wrong. However, as she was setting up her props and equipment for her performance later that afternoon, she was paid a surprise visit by her schoolmate Wallflower Blush, who had spent most of the morning up to that point using a magic stone she found near Canterlot High to mind-control Sunset Shimmer, the Rainbooms, and even Principal Celestia & Vice Principal Luna (now the mercenaries Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon) into being her slaves in a bid to become the ‘Queen of Canterlot City. However, Trixie is unaware of Wallflower’s actions and seems to be oblivious to the green-skinned girl’s regal-looking attire as she mistakes her for the assistant she was promised for her performance. Wallflower objects to this and claims that she’s known Trixie since 3rd grade, but the magician still doesn’t listen and continues to prattle on about all the things she needs her ‘lovely assistant’ to do. Eventually, Wallflower gets fed up with Trixie’s rambling and, just as the blue-skinned girl is about to ask for help shoving a chain of handkerchiefs down her sleeve, uses the stone to hypnotize her into servitude. Upon being hit by the stone’s magic, Trixie’s eyes turn green-blue as she stands to attention with her arms hanging limp at her sides, causing the handkerchiefs to fall out of her hand. After making a cheeky comment about being on a roll with hypnotizing people (which has put her in a very good mood), Wallflower tells Trixie that she is now her personal entertainer and that the blue-skinned girl will sing, dance, or do anything else that is asked of her whenever her mistress (Wallflower) gets bored. In a monotone voice, Trixie agrees to her new position…
After giving Trixie her role, Wallflower makes her way over to a box of costumes at the other end of the stage and beings rummaging through it as she tries to find Trixie a new performance uniform, eventually settling on a lovely royal-blue harem girl outfit. Turning back to her the hypnotized teen (who has turned around to face her), Wallflower hands her the outfit and tells her to put it on. The green-haired girl then watches as Trixie sheds her magician’s outfit (even tossing away her barrette) and puts on the dancer costume. When she is done, Wallflower takes a moment to admire how good her servant looks in her new attire. Once that is done, she pulls up a nearby chair, takes a seat, and asks the hypnotized Trixie to do a little song and dance for her. Hearing these commands, the former magician begins singing Tricks Up My Sleeve (the song she sang at the Battle of the Bands) while simultaneously doing a dance that matches the rhythm. After about two minutes, Trixie finishes her performance and takes a deep bow as Wallflower applauds her and commends her for the fantastic performance. When she finishes, the green-haired teen stands up, picks up Trixie’s nearby purse (which contains the blue-skinned girl’s cellphone), and tells her new servant to follow her out to the parking lot where Sunset Shimmer is waiting for her in Applejack’s pickup truck. Trixie obeys and begins following her mistress out the door, not caring that she is still in her bare feet. As she and Trixie make their way outside, Wallflower makes a mental note to herself to brainwash Trixie’s friends Lavender Lace & Fuchsia Blush (along with the musician Octavia Melody) one day so that the mind-controlled performer has some backup performers to compliment her already wondrous talents…..
