Calamus stepped through the portal, quietly following Brightburn into the lab. He nodded along as Brightburn spoke, though silently seething at the sights around him. This is wrong, He thought, this is horribly wrong. It was now clear beyond any doubts that Brightburn knew exactly what he was doing when he preached about the importance of unicorn magic.  
Just as Calamus began to think hurriedly about what he was going to do to get out of this situation - hopefully alive- The college’s chemistry professor, Irregular Isotope and another creature appeared in a bright flash of magic. Calamus watched carefully as a tense conversation between Isotope and Brightburn unfolded, awaiting his chance to make a move. When it became clear that Brightburn’s intentions were to attack, Calamus didn’t hesitate. He lunged forward, his horn glowing brightly as he readied an attack, getting Brightburn’s attention in the process.
