“It’s a “pony-fied” version of Neutral Milk Hotel’s “In an Aeroplane Over the Seas” album cover  
I had a line art (no color, which is why some things are diffent I.E. the dress) version which I quickly sketched then spent over 6 hours making with junkmail ads and such.  
-I omitted the stripes and stars from Spike’s shirt because I liked how it looked without, and it was late as hell.  
I also omitted the heads in the background because they didn’t turn out well, and they aren’t super important.
 
I love how the sky looks and that one gray building. That’s my favorite part.
 
This picture makes me both happy and sad.  
There’s a lot of emotions tied with the music and the show, but I worry it’s such an obscure reference nobody will understand it.  
The band is pretty hipster (eyeroll) and while the show is very well know, it’s often times misrepresented and hated. (So much hate)
 
Purple is really hard to find in ads (Or maybe just around this time of year)
