I don’t know what this is about, and I don’t care who is on what side. The smug cartoon character is wrong on this point. Setting out to define terms so that everyone is on the same page is a good thing. That this guy would use that as a cheap gotcha is not only stupid (and it’s extraordinarily stupid), but it’s a disservice to his audience. If anyone actually takes him seriously, and comes away thinking that nailing down terms is a failing, they’re dumber for having listened to him.
