Description
Skyla huffed and marched out of Sugarcube Corner. Singing cupcakes? Dancing cakes? Honestly, her cousin Pandora could give lessons in being childish. And of course, that’s why Skyla was leaving. It had nothing to do with all of Pandora’s friends laughing and smiling at her and ignoring Skyla. It had nothing to do with that. Nothing. At. All. The princess shook out her ruffled feathers and glanced at the ground, there was a rock in her stomach and she didn’t know why…which made her want to smash something out of annoyance. However, the vase she was eyeing to do such a thing to was spared thanks to what felt a hundred pound clamp falling onto Skyla’s withers. The wing that was free from the clamp shot up in shock and Skyla’s head whirled up.
“Howdy, princess!”
“Oh, uh hello…” Skyla struggled for the name of the massive pink mare beside her.
“Peachy Keen, y’highness.” She said and smiled. Ah yes, that’s right. Cheerilee and Big Macintosh’s daughter. Wasn’t she supposed to be at the party?
“Oh, yes. Hello.” Skyla said, trying to recover her composure (which wasn’t easy with the massive mare’s fetlock hugging her), “Aren’t you supposed to be at the party?”
Peachy Keen laughed loud enough to rattle the windows around them and nodded.
“Yep, but you went a runnin’ out so quick, ah thought ya might need a hug.”
“Why?”
“Well, no pony should be upset. ‘Specially a beautiful princess like yerself.” The mare said and beamed at Skyla. Skyla’s cheeks warmed up then burned.
“Oh…”
