“Saja: Saja is the hybrid niece of Zecora, her mother is a zebra who married a unicorn. Saja got her turquoise mane from her father. Due to her being only half unicorn, her powers are kind of lopsided as she can only use plant spells. Saja left her home in North Africa. Her country, Egypt is where she traveled from to get to Equestria. Both of her parents are from North Africa. Saja’s mother being from Libya and her father from Egypt.
 
Saja takes pride in her North African heritage, wearing the gold jewelry of her homeland. Her mother did teach her Swahili but she prefers the language of Arabic, as that is her native tongue. Her name is also Arabic, Saja, meaning ‘calm’ or ‘serene’ even her make up resembles the Egyptian drawings.
 
Her cutie mark is of a Blue Rose to symbolize her destine connection to her plant based powers.
