“Not right now, Sugar Rush, I’m a little busy here,” she said as she began making her way down the street again.
Sugar was not one to be deterred. “You mean, busy being all grumpy and toughy looking?” She asked innocently, catching up.
Dawn nodded, saying in her most professional and dignified voice,“Yes, becuase soldiers are supposed to look tough. It’s something I’m sure you wouldn’t understand.”
“What I don’t understand is why you don’t smile more often!” Sugar squealed, stepping ahead of Dawn, causing the mare to stop. “Can you even smile anymore? Or have your cheek muscles become frozen in that frown of yours?”
Dawn sighed exasperatedly, “My cheeks are fine, Sugar.”
“Are you sure, cause they look all tense to me. Let’s loosen them up a bit.” Before Dawn could react, the pink mare squeezed both front hooves into her cheeks, almost uncomfortably hard.
Sugar pulled her friend’s cheeks this way and that way, regardless of the annoyed glare she was getting for it, and said, “ Aw, da poor wittle cheeks just needed some luvin! Now you can smiley willy instead of being all toughy and scruffy looking. Isn’t that right, Dawny?”
Dawn had had enough. Levitating sugars hooves off, she said, stomping her hoof down, “That’s enough, Sugar.”
Sugar’s sweet smile drooped into the saddest little puppy face Dawn had ever seen.
“Aw, come on Dawny. Just smile for me once, please? Pretty please with sugar on top?” She pleaded in her cutest squeaky voice.
Dawn sighed. “ Okay fine, if it will get you to stop bothering me,” she said, rolling her eyes.
In a constrained effort, Dawn managed to hold a pretty solid smile for three seconds, until it dropped back down into its original straight line.
It was enough for Sugar. Instantly, she perked right back up into her bubbly self, squealing, “That was the most adorable smile yet, Dawny!”
“Alright, Alright. I did what you wanted. Can I be on my way now?” She asked, trying to sound tough, while another smile crept at the corner of her mouth.
Sugar immediately bounced up like a spring to the side and nodded satisfactorily. “You have permission to proceed, General.”
Dawn walked on with a polite nod and thank you as she continued her walk. When she was finally out of hearing distance, Dawn snickered to her self, “General- ha! I wish.”

This has to be the cheesiest Dialouge I’ve ever written. Someone pls burn it with fire!
So, this was a commision for Cascayd for some art of her two characters, Sugar Rush ( on the left) and Dawnstar ( on the right ). These two cuties are besties, even though Dawn finds Sugar’s teasing and random hugs to be a annoying at times and endearing at others. I’m a sucker for these kinds of friendships and I may or may not draw more for these two in the future.
Also, the Dialouge wasn’t actually a part of the comm, but I couldn’t resist writing a little something for these two. ̶P̶l̶e̶a̶s̶e̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶’̶t̶ ̶b̶u̶r̶n̶ ̶m̶e̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶s̶t̶a̶k̶e̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶i̶t̶.̶
