These are my ideas for the Next Generation of MLP taking place after the events of the show. Please note there are a lot of my head-canons and some of my personal ships/preferred ships. Please be respectful of my opinions :) (Smile) Additionally, I am not at all caught up with the current seasons at this time so there won’t be references to them until I watch the episodes!
 

 
I designed this guy over half a year ago, but never got round to cleaning up the lines and finishing it up. Today, after finishing a different picture, I decided to finally clean Styles up and post him! The anatomy and his eyes still bug me buuuttt he looks good enough to post lmao.
 
This is Erlich Stylen, or ‘Styles’ for short. His mother is from the MLP equivalent of Europe but moved to Equestria with her family when she was young. She worked in a beauty parlor in Ponyville until, one day, she met a charming lad who made her swoon. He was just so dashing- and after they spent a night together he kept on dashing far, far away and she realized she would never see him again.
 
What a jerk.
 
Erlich Stylen was born and his mother had to work even harder to care for them both. Like his mother, he was born an earth pony and like his mother he inherited an uncommon trait for ponies from his mother’s country; a ‘unicorn tail’. This tail is mostly associated with unicorns, and is easily traced back to ‘European’ pony heritages. In Equestria it is uncommon for unicorns (but not out of place) and very rare for earth or pegasai ponies. To put it bluntly, it screams ‘exotic’ to Equestria folk when they see an earth or pegasus pony with this kind of tail.
 
His mother’s parents had moved back to their home country before Erlich was born, so she didn’t have a lot of help with raising him. At first. She made friends- as did her son- and with hard work and some help she managed to open her own beauty salon in Ponyville! A small but much more relaxed shop that was always the dream of Erlich’s mother. And now as her own boss, she could work and raise her child on her own schedule and was able to spend more time with her son.
 
Honesty means everything to Erlich’s mother, especially after what had happened, so Erlich is always honest. Bluntly, sometimes with snark, but never has he ever tried to lie or trick another pony. When he was old enough he started helping out in his mother’s salon, and then became one of its stylists after finding and accepting it as his special talent. He has been best friends with Flutterhy’s son, Cortland, since foalhood. Cortland is also is one of his regular customers.
 
He’s never met his father, and doesn’t know much about him, but he suspects some of the ponies around his mothers’ age know. As a colt, he was bullied for being ‘girly’, for having a ‘weird’ tail, and for being a bastard. He’s become confident in himself and who he since he became a stylist, but still can’t quite shake off insults or snide remarks so he snaps back with sass and snark.
 
It shouldn’t be too difficult to guess who is dad is. It’s a 50/50 shot, afterall ;)
