Basically, Soarin is the only child of the Chief Sunblaze of House Tiber. One of the Clans under Sunblaze’s rule, Storm Clan, has been rebelling against him for generations, costing lives on both sides. Sunblaze and Bow Hothoof (the leader of Storm Clan) finally come together to discuss a peace treaty. They agree to have their eldest (and only) children join together in matrimony.
 
Of course, this desicion was made without Soarin or Rainbow’s input. Soarin, having seen the toll the war has taken on his kingdom, is quite willing to go through with the treaty. Rainbow Dash Hothoof, on the other hoof, is a completely different story. She has been raised her whole life to fight against the king’s control and to stay in the fight until she drops. It takes weeks to finally convince her to even meet Soarin, much of which was done by her faithful servant Scootaloo.
 
When they begin their official courting, Rainbow either ignores Soarin completely or provokes him into arguing. She has been in several battles, defending herself and her fellow Clanmates a myriad of times. Soarin, however, has never seen a real battle. Sure, he’s fended off the skirmish or two, but his lack of battle experience is yet another factor that Rainbow scorns.
 
Scootaloo, seeing the need for the treaty, is a bit of a peacekeeper/ambassador between the two in this AU. She’s wise beyond her years and has accompanied Rainbow into most of her battles.
 
 

 
Just another AU I probably won’t work on this as much as the Rebellion AU, but I do want to expand it a bit. It’ll mostly be here for me when I want to draw Soarindash but don’t know what to draw XD
