Starlight and Sunburst had a rocky start to their relationship when they started talking again. It was rough for both of them since they were both very stubborn in their ways. Starlight was always very spur of the moment and relied heavily on magic to complete her tasks and solve her problems, whereas Sunburst liked to plan and research the situation and all possible options of solution. They collided on most things but learned that once they looked past their own snouts, they found the best answer in each other. They started working together more seamlessly and efficiently, and eventually started falling in love. Starlight loved the sort of organized messiness of Sunburst’s library and home, and Sunbursts couldn’t help the fond smiles when he walked in on Starlight in some crazy uncomfortable-looking position while trying to get a new spell to work right.
A very grumpy, preggo Starlight and her doofy, doting boyfriend. This is what happens when the protection spell breaks when you cast it, Sunburst. You should’ve just let Starlight cast it. But nooo, now you have an oopsie baby in the oven and Starlight is not enjoying her pregnancy at all. 0/10 would recommend. Sunburst really is very sorry about it but absolutely, totally about being a father and supporting Starlight and their foal. It would be a long road to delivery but they’d make it.
Starlight’s foal was almost three weeks late before she felt her first contractions. She’d had a c-section suggested to her several times but she was terrified that that something would go wrong or they’d pull it out too early and it would die. She insisted on waiting and, low and behold, she went in labor. It was a long and hard process that left poor Starlight absolutely drained and exhausted beyond anything she’s ever felt, but she did it. With the help of three nurses, Starlight safely delivered a little orange and teal furball that they named Sundrop. Trixie is absolutely the godmare and Thorax was flustered when he was asked to be the godstallion but accepted.
