“You look bothered? Want some tea? It could help calm your nerves?” her warm voice barely echoed through the room as a fire crackled in the back. Star huffed, putting a closed hoof forward and faced away from the pillow.
“No tea could solve my troubles.” he gave a breath out, his ear twitching in irritation which the mare noticed and gave a smile at him.
“You’re quite grumpy starry” she forced a fake upset voice to play some humour but Star gave a slight glare in response before she looked to the side thinking then looking back. “If you’re having nightmares again I could get Venus?” Star looked straight at her.
He scoffed and turned his head at an angle, closing his eyes “All that reptile does is infiltrate my dreams and mess with my head, shes not welcomed” Dawn rolled her eyes in return, knowing that he wasn’t as close to her cousin than she was.
“You know, insulting Venus isn’t going to solve your issues.” she smiled and closed her eyes for a moment while Star looked to the ground and huffed.
“Nothing can relief my nerves lately” He moved his hair a bit back, noticing it was nearly in his mouth.
“Well maybe tell me what your problem is and I can help?” She inched closer, looking over at him with a warm smile. Star noticed this as his look softened and sighed. Giving a nod, the mare silently celebrating in victory.
“It’s uh, Solar.” Dawn gave a curious but suportive look but urged him to continue, Star looking forward “Everyone loves her. She’s so nice, friendly, lovable.. Then theres me, the brute brother, the prick. I’m starting to think mom even prefers her to me.” his voice cracked a bit as he looked down. The curved horn unicorn gave a sypmathetic look and put a hoof on his shoulder, Star looking at her.
“It’s ok to feel envy and jelous of your sister, thats what I was told what happened to aunty luna when she…” Dawn cleared her throat “Its ok to feel bad about that and be annoyed over it all, maybe if you want to feel better, try to be more friendly to her and others.” she gave a supportive smile as Star nodded slowly letting her words sink in but was still a bit in denial, being nice wasn’t goign to get him what he wanted.
He looked at her with a plastered smile “thanks dawn” She simply gave a nod in return, going back to her tea before the colt looked away and glared.
